Read the thread and you will see spending any more on this is just a waste of money.

Your judgement is against the company, not any individual directors. The bailiff can only seize property belonging to the debtor, so no personal property of a director could be taken. No doubt everything at the directors' houses will be their personal possessions!

It does seem to be the case that only one person has retrieved their money via the bailiffs; could that person please elaborate on this forum the manner and address from which that retrieval was successful?

Otherwise based on the last reply from Quentin, maybe I should give up. However, the only possible (plausible) remaining address is the company address that I stated above:

    1 The Belfry
    4400 Parkway
    Whiteley
    Hampshire
    PO15 7FJ

I'd like to ask if anyone on this forum has sent bailiffs to this address and not successfully claimed please. Please let us know of the outcome of the bailiff visit at this address - was Telco Ltd not trading from this address?

Many thanks for replies / comments.

I obviously can't comment on the specifics of this as I don't know the details, but in general terms you might be surprised and dismayed to hear that despite all the horror stories about bailiffs doing this and that you see in the press, debt recovery via bailiffs can often prove frustrating, especially if:

    1. the people you're collecting against have any idea of their rights.
    2. bailiffs have called successfully in the past for another debt, especially if they removed goods at that time.

I'm not trying to discourage you from doing whatever you think is right, but you need to be very aware that successful debt recovery via bailiff action is by no means guaranteed even with the right address to send them to.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything

Thanks for the response RobertoMoir. Doesn't sound encouraging. And it's likely that Telco Ltd would know their rights even if a bailiff came knocking at their door.

So can you suggest any other forms of pursuit of this debt, considering your bailiff background?

Is there any way of getting Telco Ltd financially blacklisted / disgraced in any way from this judgement?

Again, I'd like to ask if anyone on this forum has sent bailiffs to this address and not successfully claimed please. Please let us know of the outcome of the bailiff visit at this address - was Telco Ltd not trading from this address?

Thanks again for replies / responses.

Can I assume that by lack or response that no-one has sent bailiffs to the above address before?

Hi all,I am basically having the same problems as everyone else.I was dumb enough to sign up to the "to good to be true" 18 month cashback deal also.So far I have not received a penny, unfortunately I am also paying for a second mobile contract for my partner,so am spending £70 a month. If anybody does decide to take EM on pleas count me in.
    Regards TerryP

I have used many mobile phone companies over the past 8 years, i currently have 8 handsets on orange, failed cashback is something that many mobile companies continually try to do obviously to make more profit. having bad experiences i have learned and accepted that without a lot of wasted time and effort im not going to get my money, on the other side i used a companuy based in the north called TFL communications or TalkFair Ltd. they seem to do the job just fine... they are reasonably priced always pay up and seem to be the honest ones out of the bunch... if you google them there is no bad feedback either so i imagine others share the same perception as me too.

my advice guys, dont be tempted by deals that sound too good to be true. find a company you trust and dtay with them.
  • I'd like to verify whether Telco Limited are trading from the address below:

    1 The Belfry
    4400 Parkway
    Whiteley
    Hampshire
    PO15 7FJ

Does anyone on this forum live close enough to pop over there and verify if they are actively trading from this address?

    Thanks,

  • Well, the perseverence paid off....

Telco Ltd was liquidated in the end, my small claims case against them was technically successful, and I managed to convince the judge of claims in addition to the amount due (in other words, the full amount of the entire contract)

Telco Ltd didn't turn up to the proceedings. They did try to muscle me with their legal team suggesting counter claim and recovery of their legal costs in advance however. If you think you're right and can fight your case with conviction, don't let stuff like this put you off :o)

When Telco Ltd was broken up, I'd lost hope of seeing anything, but then I received a letter from one of the former directors (who probably was not aware or felt guilty regarding their scam) with a cheque for the full amount I'd claimed for. He'd seen I was listed as a creditor, so the cynical part of me thinks he could have paid me off directly to avoid higher liquidator costs, but who knows.
