I did the same as everyone else put my claim in for the cash back after 3 months. The 1st claim came back with no problem then the next claim was done with threats with the trading standards.
The last 2 were done with small claims court.
The last claim has not been paid back to me yet, I will carry on fighting for this.
If you phone orange they will lower your tariff.
When I spoke with Orange yesterday they asked why I
didn't ask for the tariff to be lowered, I didn't want to make any changes to the contract as I wouldn't be able to claim back the cash, now any more cash back is looking like it is not going to happen, that is why I have changed my contract to the one above.
How much longer do you have to go on your contract Wavefinder.
Hi, I'm yet another one who has been scammed by ES. Just to let everyone know that I took them through the small claims court under Express Mobiles, 5c The Tanneries... they notified the court that the claim should be Yes Mobiles trading as Express mobiles, gave a PO address and said they would defend the claim.
The court changed the details without my consent. Express Mobiles failed to defend the claim and I won by default.
I then applied to have a warrant issued and the court official said I would have a problem doing that because the bailliff' could not attend at a PO address.
I reiterated that I had given the correct address and company name in the first place and that I had not agreed to it being changed. The court apologised for changing the claim without my consent and issued a warrant under the original name of Express Mobiles at the Tanneries address.
This was on 9th Sept. Today I spoke with the bailliff's office and they advised me that the bailliff had made numerous calls/visits to the Tanneries but could raise no response and so could do nothing. They also advised me that Express Mobiles were coming up on their screens as "ceased trading".
I had addended two other addresses to the warrant and asked if the bailiff had visited these addresses. The bailiff office told me that they would only attend at one address and if I wanted them to try the other addresses I would have to get new warrants for each address and each would cost a further £25.
Hope this helps0 -
PS Have notified Watchdog and referred them to this site. Suggest you all do similar and we may get some action.
Best wishes

i have also contacted Watchdog twice, but no reply.
Orange have told my MP that Express Mobiles are part of the Carphone Warehouse Group and that they are responsible. This company will not reply to my letters. Perhaps we should all pester them. They also say that Express Mobiles were not acting as their Agents. This means that they were allowing a Company who were not their Agents to sell their phones and issue contracts!!! Surely they must accept some responsibility.0 -
Your MP has either been mislead or has misunderstood something.
Express Mobiles are not part of cpw, so writing to them is just a waste of time and money.0 -

I have a copy of a letter from Orange in front of me which was sent to my MP which clearly states ""Express Mobiles with whom xxx entered into a cash back agreement are part of the Carphone Warehouse Group, which as i am sure you are aware is a major retailer who stock and sell the mobiles phones and the airtime services of a range of mobile network providers". This is therefore what Orange were given to understand.0 -

It is wrong!
You are saying that Orange don't know who they are dealing with. What proof do you have, or why do you believe that this is incorrect. Just because Carphone Warehouse says so!!!!
If Orange is wrong, it is about time that they should be exposed as a Company that does not care who sells their contracts, as long as they get thier money. Hang the customers.0 -
You cannot be surprised to learn that Orange are not 5 star when it comes to customer service.
The statement they have made is wrong. Were it true, anyone owed money would have been able to sue cpw for it (just as those owed money by their other associated companies - osps, e2save, phonespot etc do)0 -

You have still not said how you know that Express Mobiles are not part of Carphone Warehouse Group.0
