Express Mobiles/ Yes mobiles out of business?

The article says "If you owe one or more suppliers £750 or more"
Surely he owes more than £750 to the combined lot of us? Or does it not work like that?
If not then "Brotherjackson" and "750slingshot" are both owed more.
It wouldn't help the rest of us to get anything back though.0 -
To go for this you could combine to get the total above £750. (But there are legal costs to pay up front, (£600+), and the hearing is always held at the debtor's local court).
In fact it's better to be able to claim a lot more, as a debtor can negate a claim by paying the creditor enough to get the outstanding debt below the £750.0 -
I'm owed around £700 and would be interested in pooling resources. To get an idea of how many of us are interested in group actions, I have just set up a group on facebook called 'conned by express mobiles'. If you would like to join please click groups on the left of your facebook homepage and search for the group name.
it is an open group at the moment which means anyone can join and anyone can see it. If you would like to join and keep privacy you could set up a separate facebook profile for this purpose.
might help us.0 -
I'm only regurgitating what my business teacher at college is saying would be possible. But apparently since 2006 when the companies act changed directors and even people that act like directors can be held accountable for debts incurred if they run a business into the ground in the way express mobiles have.
I'm spurred on by my dad (who took the contract out for me) reminding me every waking minute.
It looks like they were running a business that can only be described as a pyramid scheme.
Say they got £300 commision for every time they hooked someone, they would have to pay out £720 over the 18 months, so they would have to connect an additional 3 people to cover the costs of that and the minute they didnt, the claims backed up.
Now that doesnt seem like a business that anyone would plan on being a success. Looks more like trying to get in as much money as possible before they were found out. especially when you look at the txt messages they sent out to hook people in the first place.
Could sally be a defacto director? are there any more?0 -
Hi, Amazing you got discount for 02, I have been trying and trying, but absolutely no luck! How did you do that...and what was your initial monthly payment?

I bet he is just laughing at us all knowing that there may be something we could do through the legal system but we don't know how. He gets warnings by the law etc. but he still carries on. I think we should do what citizens of other countries (e.g Thailand, Tibet, China) do and that is to protest right to the man himself, all we are doing now is speaking and not being heard! I have been lucky enough to downgrade my contract with O2 to £15 a month after 3 months as I told them about Express and they did that out of good will. But I am still fed up that he can still carry on trading! We have his Address, we can protest right up to his front door and he can't do anything, he doesn't own the pavement! I live in London and I would be more than happy to drive up to his place and stay there all day, at least we can let all his neighbours and everyone around there know what he has been doing to all of us! We need to get our own back on him! If it makes the news it would really be the icing on the cake! I would be more than happy to start the facebook group for all of us together![/quote]0 -
I am having the same problems, but the number I have for them does not seem to work. Please could someone send me a valid number? I would be more than happy to shame this company on Watchdog, they are an absolute disgrace. I am waiting on about 3 lots of cashback and still not getting a response - apparently they are still processing it!
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.0 -

I'm owed £660 by express mobiles which is the balance of the contract as I was only paid 1 chequeback. I went through MCOL and express were going to defend it but didnt, by default I won but I still didnt get my money. Not yet anyway, now I have to issue a warrant but express mobiles replied to the original papers served on a PO BOX number 582 fareham hampshire, how do you issue a warrant to a PO BOX number for goodness sake. I already paid £60 in court action and still nothing to show for it. I might as well serve the warrant anyway as I' m already enough money down. Anyone won on a warrant please let us know what address from....Cheers and good luck all0 -
If you contact the Post Office they will give you the address which is associated with the PO Box. Good luck.0

As there are so many of us owed money by Express Mobiles, why don't we all contact Watchdog, maybe if they get enough people contact them they will do something to expose both Express Mobiles and the Network Providers. I cancelled my Orange contract early and am now being chased by debt collectors threatening court proceedings even though Orange have not replied to letters from either myself (written by a Barrister) or my MP. They say they do not endorse cashbacks even though they still allow companies dealing with them to offer these deals. This should be stopped.0
