  • i would urge anyone having difficulty claiming cashback from express mobiles to send a letter of complaint via recorded delivery and also inform your local trading standards authority, always keep hold of any correspondance and also any royal mail reciepts from claims for proof that you have followed the correct claim procedure for any future investigations.

I have just been reading these very discouraging reports about Express. i didn't even get a sim card from them, let alone make any calls and i am still being charged for it after i tried to cancel my account in november. O2 are chasing for money on a phone i no longer have and have never used.

any ideas as to how we can get on to them? i'm desparate!
if you are still being billed but have sent your phone back, you should contact vanilla/carphone warehouse, they deal with the connection and pretty helpfull in these matters?

This is correct information I contacted Vanilla about cancelling my contract, (I was in the time limit to return) and they helped me out. These guys by the sounds of it simply supply stock to companies.

  • I to have received a reply from express mobiles as follows:
    "Thank-you for your e-mail
Your claim is pending, however due to our current financial circumstances there will be a delay in payment, this will be reviewed on Tuesday 8th April and we will contact you accordingly.
    Kind Regards
    Express Mobiles"

Although this is at least a response I have still sent a recorded letter on advice taken from Consumer Direct, stating that they are in breach of contract, and have 14 days to respond.

I'm not holding up much hope as they appear to be in financial trouble.

Lets wait till the 8th April for an outcome.
  • I have had the same problems with cash backand have issued a County Court Claim for the total amount of cashback that should have been payable under the contract l have with them had they kept to its terms and conditions. They have today filed an acknowledgement of service giving them a further 28 days to waste my time.they have indicated that they wish to defend the whole of my Claim, including the money already overdue, despite the fact that l have a response to myfinal warning to them, in an email which clearly admits liability. Interestingly, they have not instructed a solicitor. My guess is that this is a delaying tactic and that by the time the case is heard the company will no longer be trading under that name. I am a bloody - minded individual who will continue to pursue this through the Courts and will keep you all updated. Watchdog is a good move especially as this involves the car phone warehouse, who own this company. Has anybody contacted them?

Which company are you referring to?

This thread concerns Express Mobiles & Yes Mobiles, neither of which are owned by cpw.

  • I am just another one like so many others that have been duped by the txt we all received, and may I say, stupidly responded to. I did like others pursue the first cheque by bombarding them with daily phonecalls until finally, 3 months late I did receive a cheque for £120 :j and it didn't bounce :j:j
But, I'm probably in the same boat as everyone now in that I'm still waiting for my next chequeback and have found it nearly impossible to make contact with these elusive creatures. However, I have found on a website an address for them, it maybe out of date and would appreciate if anyone can enlighten me on that before I waste even more money on postage stamps.
