Express Mobiles/ Yes mobiles out of business?

Hello Folks,
I know a few on this board have had problems with this company especially regarding cashback claims. I decided to accept a contract with Orange via this company and now I'm having the same problems like many others. I was supposed to have received my first cheque back in November but everytime I call they lie and say they've sent the cheque.
Orange will have nothing to do with it and I'm fearing the letter from this company telling customers about financial difficulties which are stopping them from honoring their cashback claims if indeed they bother to say anything. Has anyone who has had similar problems managed eventually to get some cash back from this company? and if so how?

cheque was sent out two days ago using first class stamp. I'm still waiting.
What a waste of time this company is.
Its true what they say you don't get something for nothing.
We need to get a group together and blacklist the company on Watchdog.
let me know how you are getting on with your claim.
I'll let you know if and when the cheque finally arrives0 -
Express mobiles!
certainly nothing express about their chequeback procedure.
Made several phonecalls, every time being told claim has been approved, cheque should arrive shortly.
First chequeback did arrive after i complained that I would take matter futher.
Still waiting for second since November.
We should all get together and name and Shame this company on Watchdog.
Would appreciate any futher input regarding this company.0 -

I still have not received my first cheque which was due in November. I've called about 10 times and get the same answer. I'll have to start threatening them like you guys have done. It looks as if they've got our money in some high interest account or something so they hold on to it as long as they can. I'm all up for going to Watchdog with this.0 -
I have had a reply to my email but it went to the junk folder, so check that if you haven't had a reply yet. No sign of the cash yet, they say wait 28 days. So i'll post again... 28 DAYS LATER.. spooky.0

I received a copy of their T&Cs a few days after I'd agreed to go ahead with the contract and I was still in "the cooling off period" of 7 days. I still decided(stupidly) to go ahead with it because I wouldn't have a problem keeping to the T&Cs. So maybe some may feel I deserve what I'm getting and should have listened to the alarm bells that nearly were deafening!
I'm still waiting for my 1st chequeback which is now 2 months late even though I've kept within their claim procedures and T&Cs. In fact I've sent my second claim in time so that there are no excuses.
When I phoned to chase up my 1st cheque again yesterday(about 5 or more calls prev made) I was told by a "Manager" named "Samantha" that a cheque had been raised and seemed suprised I hadn't received it. I was told that "another" cheque would be raised and that I would receive a cheque by the end of this week. I don't hold out much hope of that!
I am willing to add my name to any report against this company.0 -
I am having exactly the same problem. 'Samantha' has threatened to close my file and not send me any cashback at all because I am upsetting her by phoning her and asking where my cheque is!What can we do?Someone please help.0

Seems the list is growing. I sent in my first claim in Dec following to the letter their T & Cs and have made three phone calls all met with different reasons and the last one saying my cheque was to be posted last week. I have no doubt it will not arrive and think I have finally been conned (it was only a matter of time!) I am going to contact O2 and explain my case to see if they can adjust my contract to a lower tariff. After all I actually need a mobile but not the large amount of minutes and texts I am paying for now. I will let you know if I ever recieve anything but excuses!0

Exactly the same thing happened to me! I've had problem after problem with this company. The phone that i received was originally 'blacklisted' which means that somebody had reported it as stolen (unbelievable)- I received my first cheque back but NOT my second and soon my 3rd will be due. I've found out from orange that this company is connected affiliated to Carphone Warehouse and on another site somebody said that the company has gone bust! has anybody else heard anything about this?0

p.s. has anybody managed to speak to samantha or anybody else at express mobiles recently?0
