Hello everyone,
Have informed Express Mobiles today of my intention to file a claim against them in the small claims court for money owing. Am deadly serious about this. Have also informed them that if the cheque does not arrive by tomorrow i will also involve the OFT and media authorities. Have been told the cheque is comming via recorded delivery and have been given a reference number. Will inform you of the outcome.0 -
After informing the company of my intention to take them to court a cashback cheque was received by recorded delivery the following day.0

Samantha's number is 0800-1981001, she is apparently the manager?? Still await my cheque. Does anyone know who owns express mobile? Have just looked them up at companies house and the only Express Mobiles Limited co no 05600868 based in Preston, Lancs was dissolved on 31.7.07. I imagine that the provider of the Phone i.e. Vanilla mobile or whoever will know who is behind this company as they do business with them or is it perhaps a big scam for Carphone warehouse to make lots of money?0

Having the same issue as everyone else looks like I will have to threaten them with the small claims court. Does anyone have an address for Express Mobiles?
I phoned OFCOM to report these cowboys and they put me onto Comsumer Direct, tel 08454 040506, they advised me to write to express mobiles detailing when I had contacted them and advising them that I would take the matter further if I did not receive the cheque.
What a loverly person Samantha is
Call them free on 0800 198 1001, complain about not getting the chequeback and Smantha will ring you.0 -
The company running this scam is Telco Limited trading as Express Mobiles. Their address according to companies house is 24, Picton House, Hussar Court, Waterlooville, Hampshire PO7 7SQ Co no 05078200. They were formally called Premium Telecom Direct Limited. I shall do more research tomorrow when I am back at work as we have access to all sorts of information for free. I shall endevour to find out who the shareholders are , and I do hope, Samantha, that they are paying you a lot of money.0

I have just spoken to "Ali"(female) in the "claims department" I really think they're all in just one room pretending. Ali told me that a cheque was conveniently raised and is being sent today by 1st class mail. I told her that if I don't receive it by Tuesday I will take further action.. I told her that numerous cheques had ben "raised "but I havent received any of them. This company is a real Joke. If the cheque is not received I will write to OFT as well and start the process of a small claim with the court. Although even If I get the cheque action should still taken against them.
I do understand from another poster that OFcom have said they have shelved an enquiry into certian practices of companies like Express mobiles but apparently after some meeting with OFT they decided these companies did not meet the critieria for the enquiry due to not being "providers of electronic services or networks" which is ridiculous. They apparently still want to hear any complaints. I let you all know what happens next week.0 -
Hi fellow Scamers,
Looks like we are all in the same boat. First time I have been on here and find it very interesting. I have also been given the run around. After phoning since Sept I only found out correct e-mail address and sent of 3 months worth of receipts only to be told I have broken my contract by not sending in invoices within 60 days. Still awaiting there offer of £50 holiday voucher. I have contacted OFFCOM ref number 147099032 but was told to contact Comsumer Direct. I have also threated legal action and would more than willing to share any cost with other members. I have spoken to Sam twice today and she is very good at her job at fobbing you off. I wonder what she would be like face to face. My phone is with O2 Carphone Warehouse and they say they are aware of scam and stay clear. If they know about this how do they receive your info having had a cold telephone call from MOB EXP.
What do MOB EXP get out of this. Waiting with interest!!!!0 -
After getting angry with Samantha yesterday a cheque turned up today recorder delivery. I've not had time to pay it into the bank yet., I am wondering if it will bounce:rolleyes:0

Hi all,I am basically having the same problems as everyone else.I was dumb enough to sign up to the "to good to be true" 18 month cashback deal also.So far I have not received a penny, unfortunately I am also paying for a second mobile contract for my partner,so am spending £70 a month. If anybody does decide to take EM on pleas count me in.

I have also checked companies house (Great idea winston365, thanks). I found two companies with similar names trading from what appears to be the same building.
They are Telco Ltd and Telco Limited. As the cheque I received was from Telco Ltd I think the following is the correct address.
Telco Ltd
11 Dragoon House,
Hussar Court
Waterlooville
PO7 7FS
No. 05480092
I received my first cheque on Friday and on Saturday received a letter stating that my next claim failed to comply with their T&C’s, this is untrue. I will be writing to them at the above address stating that I will take them to the Small Claims Court if my claim is met in full. I’ll let you know how I get on.
If they owe you money keep phoning and writing to them don’t give up. We need to get our money or force them out of business. I believe if we can stop them trading the Mobile operator who we have contracts with is legally obliged to cancel our contracts. (Maybe wrong on this but I’m sure I have read of this happening in the past)
Good Luck
