Today I am grateful for much less frost on the car, for a fab day with kiddies, for dc making their own way home, for knight rider, for my elf jumper with its big jangly bell on the hood making lots of people smile and joke with me.

Hi turtlesI haven't posted for a couple of days as I've been really busy. I was manic all day on Wednesday, I did spend £3 on a coffee so ruined my NSD there. I worked at my part-time job in the evening so didn't get home until 9ish so just got myself prepped for work and straight to bed.Yesterday we had a shopping delivery first thing then I had another manic day at work. I finished early and went to the O2 for a comedy gig with a friend. It was fun but my friend had a bit too much to drink. The food and drink at the O2 is pretty pricey! It was budgeted for however and I had been pre-warned. I didn't get home until about 12.30am so it was a very long day, for some reason I struggled to sleep as well despite being tired.Today I slept in until 8.30 and then just logged straight in to work. I went to pilates at lunch, really enjoyed it. I almost cancelled as I was knackered this morning but am glad I didn't. Pre-booked for next week as well. I've also been for a massage this evening, very much needed. I have a few days off from work now and am looking forward to the break.Only on 4 NSD's so far but there's plenty of time for more!11

Very wobbly this morning so worked from the bed. Pulled the box of boxes onto the bed and did some sorting. Toiletries, pills and medical stuff (mostly mum's and my ex's leftovers but being used or repurposed) in one box instead of 3, stationery and craft items also condensed. Spent the morning transcribing addresses and phone numbers from my old diary (this year's but a total wreck) into the Christmas Planner I got from Oxfam for 50p (the only time I need my cousin's addresses is to send Christmas cards anyway and all the distant relatives I'd not been in touch with for years are in there too). 7 pages of addresses (kept all the info on local cs too). Have divided what was left of the diary - some binned , some useful notes and a big chunk from early in the year where I've listed all the work on mum's estate.
Moved things around - some things brought upstairs, some moved to the kitchen, lots moved away from the door. Watched the last one and a half episodes of the first series of The Handmaids Tale. Finally done a food delivery order. I've avoided it for the past 2 weeks, mostly managed with what was in the house but one or two costly purchases because of things that were missing. Set to and cleaned most of 2 fridge freezers - my freezer was empty and their fridge was bare, so I cleaned those first so I had somewhere to put the shopping. transferred some of my items back from the other freezers - I have fish, I have veg, I have frozen berries and 3 ready meals. Ordered a couple of non-food items that are needed too (nothing special).
Going to read and sleep now. Grateful for having all my addresses and phone numbers together, a phone call from my second cousin last night (we have some strange relations), for the bungalow completion going through next Monday. Best news of all - my bus pass arrived.9 -
@grandmanerd. I don't know how you do it. I * really * don't.

Good evening 🌕
Happy Birthday Thrifty_Taylor 🎂🥳
Had a quiet day - although somewhat eventful... i had asked my GP to refer me a psychiatric opinion a while ago, given my constant ups and downs, and limited results with medications. Had a triage appointment a month or so ago (I am assuming by a Nurse) who asked me loads of questions. Today I got a letter from the Psychiatrist who has made a diagnosis without even having seen or met me! All done off a questionnaire over the phone! Anyhow - diagnosed with 'Dysthymia' or persistent depressive disorder - which has shown to be hereditary. I have my Dad and his Mother to thank for that! Both had previous breakdowns and electric shock treatment!
I suppose it makes sense - and it makes it somehow easier to accept - as I could never think of any major life trauma or bad habits that could have caused it all... Like no matter what I do - I was always going have that susceptibility there. All the lifestyle stuff I do will help - but I might need something extra. Looking into it - it's very common for people to have episodes of 'major depression' on top of this - they call it double depression. Looking back over my life I can see times when perhaps that has been the case. Crappy working conditions in my job have certainly acted as triggers to this latest episode though I'm sure, alongside Mum developing Alzheimer's and dealing with that for the last 5 years. Anyhow, they've recommended a new medication - so will see how I get on.
Took myself off for a walk to reflect on things. I was blessed with another lovely crisp sunny day.
Today I am grateful for:
1) My nature walks - and the well-being they provide
2) The robin on my walk that seemed to follow me round
3) Clarity on my mental health
Today = NSD number 7!!! (am on a role!)
