@abundant1972 That is a brilliant mantra. It's good to look back occasionally to reflect and learn, but most people like me dwell on the past and it hinders moving forward.
Not really ticking a lot of boxes here in terms of productivity, planning or self-care. But in contrast to the past where that would make me give up or beat myself up, I focus on the positive and things I have done. With a little nonjudgmental reflection why others weren't done.
Glad to be back here. Loads of food for thought and inspiration.

It is currently -2 in LeShire at 9am.. DS3 is still riding his bike to school, nothing is going to stop him except the White Stuff, of which as yet we have none. The heating is on.
I think DH is hiding under the duvet, possibly until Spring. Not seen him yet at all. How the other half lives!
Really must get on with starting the Christmas shopping at some point.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I have been awarded PIP from later this month & my DLA will stop.
I am keeping the car & have been awarded a care componnent.
Pleased with this outcome though dissapointed there is no back money from when I notified of a change of circumstances. But, overall a good result & I am pleased.

Today I am grateful for taking myself out on a lovely walk, for an awesome moon, for getting an interview (whoop, whoop!!), for selling a few more knitted items, for the impact that hanging a duvet and a thin old sheet round the stairwell have had on the heat downstairs (aesthetically it's a mess, but even DH has noticed the improvement in temperature).

I hung a silver velvet curtain at the foot of our stairs (how very northern of me!) at the start of the year, and one at the ugly 1970s full glazed front door, and it makes a huge difference @apple_muncher . I used my survey vouchers for that old BIG RIVER store so it cost me a few pence, literally.Because I was annoyed at myself for working 4 hours extra yesterday when asked, I bought myself a big old mirror for the top of the stairs today, and it is going to look fab. Took DH with me so he could carry it home
. £30 in the sale in a charity shop, it is nearly 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide, in a thick pine frame. I am very happy with it.
Scored a load of 20p bread, hot cross buns, and mushrooms from Herr L, did a trawl of 8 charity shops but only spent £3.50, went volunteering, came home, and so felt quite justified in going back to another c/shop to nab the mirror I spotted yesterday. It is going to bounce the light around in the stairwell, so should make a huge difference. Also saw an old solid wood chest of drawers for £35 that had really ugly drawer pulls, but they can be replaced, and it was a nice shape. I think I might go back in the morning and nab that too. I cannot go on living out of 3 small drawers. I want order!! and boots! Order and Boots!Cooked tea, and stayed in the kitchen while the oven was on, and kept warmer by doing the washing up.I am cha-cha-changing my living environment. I read somewhere (years ago) that overweight people have fewer large mirrors in their houses than slim people. Well if that is all it takes, then even I can do that! Easy fix, here I come4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
