The irritating cough has ramped up to something more serious, so I have cancelled my meeting with my brother and niece (by text). Seem to have a cold as well which may be why my eyes have been sore and I keep feeling like crying - although the nearly half an hour that I spent looking at things on the far side of the shed (4' away) indicates it might be flu. Just done a kitchen raid - breakfast yoghurts, four oat and honey bars from an open packet, a child size berry and apple juice smoothie (delicious) and an ice lolly (an orange juice one so it might even be one of mine).
I've put on a t-shirt and cardigan so I can sleep in a more upright position without my shoulders getting cold and used eye drops, eye cream, lavender balm to help with the headache and some hand cream (one of the last bits from mum's gifted stash) - I may look like death warmed up but I smell nice.
I managed to clear the bed and spray the mattress with stain remover (all over but a lot more in the 'soiled' bits). It says to cover with a damp towel (to help keep it working overnight) but I've used a fairly wet sheet which also needed treatment (a couple of encounters with broken pens or markers), put a tarpaulin over it and then dragged the merino wool cover back onto the bed to sleep between.
I'm going to do an emergency food order (yoghurts, fruit, ice cream and ice lollies plus maybe 3 ready meals, more drinks) to be delivered this morning. I'll work on the fridge and freezer as and when I can (5 minutes at a time?) and do a freezer filler order when it's sorted. Will keep on using up mum's tin stock (soup and fruit, think I'm down to 3 baked beans) and hopefully schedule in some batch cooking thereafter (not promising, I'm still going to be juggling all the things that need doing and some will have to be delayed or dropped).
Going to read now and hope for some sleep. Grateful for my bed, stain remover, being ill enough to stop - just stop, breathe and listen to my body, I've had a pretty full on fortnight and I need to rest.9 -
Stayed on NSD 1 yesterday. I bought a Poinsettia.Grateful for waking up in a better mood, for getting a short walk in the frosty sunny afternoon, for not slipping and falling, for getting a few work tasks finished, for a meeting being cancelled, and for my health.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸7

Had a nice day yesterday. Ended up doing some yoga in the morning and then walked to the shopping centre. It was fairly quiet as most ppl were probably having lunch before the football match, so it was fairly stress free. I got a pair of thermal tights and leggings and 2 pairs of thick socks. May be overkill but I’d rather that than be cold. Tried on under my jeans and I’m impressed with them so glad I splashed out (€40 for all)
got home and organised present buying. I haven’t actually bought a sausage yet but at least I have a plan and a list 😂
Made a carrot soup using the pressure cooker and roasted some chestnuts later in the eve.. was very festive.
Grateful for another bank hol tomorrow, for the pressure cooker, for finding everything I needed in the shops.Hoping for a quiet work day today!! Oh and for my first NSD!!!XxStudent loan £5655

Good morning,
freezing here just now, literally. Bit scared about the heating bill tbh. Don't have it on more than before (actually used lass units so far than last year) but I guess even if set to 18 during the day, it'll kick in more often to keep that temperature.
Today was meant to be a NSD but as our works christmas lunch was cancelled I have to go and buy myself a lunch now as I only brought snacks.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/258 -

Good afternoon 🌔
Apologies for not checking in yesterday. I met a friend and then had therapy and then was wiped for the day.
Ended up having small spends yesterday as didn't fancy serving up my home-made veggie wind-inducing chilli to my friend haha, so got some pizza and garlic bread in - and still haven't got my deodorant bargains (not from Booties, grandmanerd but thank you - good to know!). Had a nice day though didn't end up doing any of my habits.
Wins ⭐ I came up with a self-payment system (very complex haha) ages ago but never got around to implementing it. I have now started using it. I have 3 tins [Mindfulness, nature walk, gym] each with 100 marbles in [90 regular, 9 solid and 1 special one with a flower in]. Each activity and marble type is attributed a cash value. Every time I complete a habit I pick a marble out and drop it into a jar. At the end of the week I tally up my earnings - and that is what I have for the following week. In addition - if I complete all tasks I get a BONUS of £15.00. If this is unclaimed at the end of the month it goes into a locked saving account (yet to decide what that will go on - maybe the mortgage?). I have an amount put aside for if I hit jackpot on my marbles haha.
At the time of writing I have only earned £32.50 out of a possible £60.00 for next week. If I go for a walk now and get in a mindfulness session that will boost me to £40.00. If I go to the gym too that's £47.50. No BONUS for me this week 😥
Today I am grateful for:
1) My new self-payment scheme!!! (I have way too much time on my hands!!!)
2) Headspace and quiet time today to recharge
3) Endings and new beginnings
Yesterday = spend day.
Today = NSD number 5
Achievements for December:
Week 1: 01st - 07th December: ⭐ Mindfulness 🧘🏻♂️ = 4/7 ⭐ Nature Walk 🌳 = 3/4 ⭐ Gym 🏋🏻♂️ = 2/3 ⭐ = £40.00/£60.00 [updated - below]

That's amazing abundant, you can do it!
Wasn't a nsd today, popped to asd@ to get some bits and pieces to make meals with the random things I have in the cupboards and freezer to use it all up and get a fresh start on 19th Dec hopefully this will save some money this month on groceries although next month might be a bit more expensive. Still not broken my no spend challenge, I think it helps that dc and I still feel poorly and it is too blooming cold to go round the shops. I have spent the last 3 nights intermittently unsubscribing from retail emails, hoping this will help with exposure to things I don't actually need....
Nearly finished running through my pantry (it's not huge I have just been going slowly due to motivation, interruptions and I had last night off to watch Troll on Netfl!x. Was a good film and nice to have some time just to relax.
Grateful for reduced grocery bill, warm blankets, dc who must be getting better because they are back to winding each other up and arguing about everything...😆😒🙄2024 decluttering Campaign
