Hello, not much to report. Wasn't a NSD in the end as I got the munchies towards to end of my shift.
Tomorrow we celebrate St Nicolas, where the kids polish their boots, leave them in the hall and St Nicolas brings either coal or small gifts and sweets overnight. I didn't buy anything separate for that this year. Will just grab some sweets from the cupboard and use one small Xmas gift.
Will be weird this year as it's the first year they don't believe anymore. So now it's just one of mummy's German traditions that they're quite happy to go along with. Sometimes wonder if they'll pass some of them on if I'm ever blessed with grandchildren...DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/2511 -
Today I am grateful for central heating, for a good session at the gym, for helpful people emailing me docs I really really needed and couldn't access myself, for progress in some areas, for another good liddle box - this one was heavy!

Steady day today, my usual Monday routine is to cycle to my friend's house and walk her dog but my back was still bad so I cancelled. I did some gentle yoga this morning before logging on at work and went for a short plod around the block at lunchtime. Work was busy so went quickly. Cancelled pilates class for tomorrow evening as back is still bad, have booked a telephone appointment with the GP just to be on the safe side. Not much else to report, NSD number 3, no work out for obvious reasons, sort of ate healthy.11

Hi Turtles,
I've enjoyed reading all your new posts. Haven't posted for a few days so here goes.
Friday night mum and i went to the village Christmas lights switch on but only stayed half hour as it was freezing. Tree looked lovely as it had new LED lights this year. We were expecting lots of stalls but sadly there were only 2 and we only found 1 it was so dark! The Sally Army was there playing the carols and doing a fab job in the cold. Lots of people were there so that was good.
Getting used to my replacement car and it seems a good little runner, fingers crossed. Not as nifty as Snowy was but that may be a blessing to stop me roaring around.
Went to an art class on Saturday to learn how to draw faces. Nice people and we had fun whilst learning. My friend paid for it as my Christmas present and I paid for our afternoon tea with the others. A lovely day although I think I'm better at drawing animals!
Yesterday I shampooed mum's living room carpet as she was fed up with it. It only took about 30 mins and looked much better afterwards. Might need another go but we'll see how it dries. Mum's been and bought 2 new rugs today to liven the room up.
Felt poorly in the night with palpitations and funny headache. Got up and took some paracetamol. Went back ho bed but there was something scampering on the roof or IN the roof so didnt get much sleep. Got up this morning feeling wobbly and shakey. It gradually went off so I went to work. Out of 6 of us there was just me and the boss to try and do everything. What a day. I had 3 assembly jobs on at the same time and kept getting moved each time the priorities changed. Think someone messed up holidays with 4 people off at the same time but what do I know!
Ordered some scented wax melts from my DIL as she's trying to start a little business making gifts and I wanted to support her. Spent a bit more than anticipated but will have 3 presents to give at Christmas. They smell so beautiful! Fingers crossed her hard work pays off.
Gratitudes: loving my new car, fun at the art class and tea, the carpet looking better after a shampoo. X

Hi Turtles,
NSD #2 behind the curve again! I am very perturbed by the additional train strikes. The plan was to go to my Dads on xmas eve, and return on the 27th (I would prefer the 26th), and now there are no trains on the 24th to the 28th - i really don't want to get the bus.
Today I am grateful for a quick whip around the park for an aring, coffee, food from all the batch cooking i did.3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000

Still on NSD 1.
Yesterday we put up the tree and rewarded ourselves with a takeaway pizza.Today paid 70p to the library for printing Santa’s reply letter to DS… he was going to get it in the morning but not now. I gave him a telling off today for eating only crisps from his packed lunch… he usually gets school lunches but he begged for a packed lunch this week and I bought the things he asked for … very annoyed at the wasted food, wasted money, and my wasted time making it. As a consequence he’s not getting to play his favourite console game tomorrow or getting ‘Christmas toast’. And he’ll not be getting a packed lunch from me again for the rest of his life!Grateful today for selling a book of V!ntd, for getting extra tickets for DS’s nativity, and for lunch at Mum’s.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸11 -

NSD#3
Got up 25mins earlier, did yoga & sit-ups. Wolfed my breakfast down & set off in good time, only to discover my car was frozen! Thawed it quickly & got 2 work only s couple of mins after the meeting had started. A few of us have decided not to agree to a before work meeting another time, one had to get up at 5.30 in order to walk her dog before she left home! Madness. My morning went well, but the afternoon was very difficult. A teacher friend gave me an early birthday present of 2 cans of alcohol to start me off on our night out Friday, as my present hadn't arrived yet. Was a nice surprise.
We'd had post delivered today, first lot since Wednesday. Out on my sparkly shoes to bed them in (brand new, cost £4 in CS😊) & did the ironing. DS1 was eating his tea at the same time, so we watched a quiz show he likes, DH joined in too. We all got all but one question right. Cut out pieces & hand stitched the name into a stocking for my youngest nephew. Feeling tired now
Grateful for a surprise present, mail delivery, my new shoes bring quite comfortableUse it up, wear it out

Good evening 🌔
Quick check-in today as it's late. Managed to get to the gym today - has been awhile! Some of my toiletries came up on smart shop with money off so decided to go get some reserves as I'm on the last one. Annoyingly - they didn't have one at the branch I went to so will have to waste an NSD going to a bigger store. Used some nectar points and bagged a few YS items too. Anyhow - was another nice but cold day.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Fun connections online
2) My gym and the helpful staff
3) Bargains!!!
Today was a spend day. NSD 04/15 still.
