Today is my day off, went to Mr M's Emporium of foods, but they did not have a vegan mice pie that looked nice, so I have not had one. Managed to lose another lb this week. Not sure how, but I will take it! I am now merely 'overweight' and not 'O(h dear!)bese.I have a half lit Xmas tree, the second spool of lights has died over winter. Might just string one of the battery packs of lights (reusable batteries) along the lower boughs.Took DH out to a place that sells boardgames and jigsaws for 50p, he did not see anything he wanted - the Trivial Pursuits are all free to take. It is a camping barn, that sells container-fulls of boardgames from October - February when the camping season is low. Will have to go back when they get a new shipping container delivery in. Have just found out about a Book Farm nearby - with a cafe! so will have to take DH on my next day off. 2nd hand books are my favourite. So I have a tiny bit of a plan.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Just popped in to post an update sounds like everyone is getting festive.Very laid back day today, just what I needed. Wrote most of my cards, finished putting the decs up and helped ds with homework. Bought ds birthday present so that’s all sorted.Off out tonight for a Christmas party night with the girls. Taxi booked for midnight so not too bad! Not an NSD today but everything spent is budgeted for, even the taxi!Have a lovely evening.Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Nsd #2 for me and successful no spend challenge day #3, helps that I haven't left the house today or found time to browse the Internet. Did some crafts and painting with the dc this morning and then decorated the Xmas tree and put up some extra lights in the living room. Had pie and chips (all homemade) for tea which was delicious if I say so myself 😆.
All 3 children (and both us grown ups) have the cold now, think tomorrow will be a low key one for us as well as the fun season starts at school..... panto trips, nativity plays etc etc. Tonight's plan is to run through a cupboard or two and have a declutter session, hopefully find some things to sell and give to charity.
Grateful for time spent with dc crafting and tree decorating. Really hit home how quick the dc are growing up, doesn't seem possible that the eldest 2 can do things by themselves that I now help their brother with. Also grateful for a tasty tea, and not feeling tempted to break my challenge yet.2024 decluttering Campaign

Evening turtles.
Declaring my first NSD. phew.
Been doing a bit of cooking and the first steps of making some 'shrub.' Got out for a brief walk, came back to a hot water bottle in the duvet. cozy.
Grateful for the last of the roses in the park, implementing the double spin method on the washing, that my mind has been free form work.

Hope you had a good night out @BadBookkeeper. Congratulations on not needing a new hip @grandmanerd. Hugs to everyone who's poorly.
Work was very up & down yesterday, but I was glad it was Friday 😃 didn't manage to drink the two bottles of water there, that I had aimed for unfortunately. DS3 & g/f met me from work & all came back to ours. G/f had never visited inside before, she stayed for tea, then I dropped her home before I met friends to go to the panto. (G/f had got upset, but was well supported by DS1&3 - she's the one that DS1 has been supporting a year)
Had great fun at the panto, lots of laughs & the pupil's from school that were in it, were pleased to see us. Sat at the end of the road for 45mins discussing the g/f's problem. Both know her parents & amazed they're not supporting her through this awful time. Both told me that I'm doing the right thing & that it's great that DS1 has opened up to me about it.
Took DS3 with me to town this morning, he went to help my mum in the haberdashery shop again. I got some stocking fillers, looked in a CS (got DS1 some new jeans, a lovely glass bowl with sunflowers for DH, & 3 books for myself, can't not buy books if I see them!) Did a mahoosive monthly shop, had run out of quite a lot of things. Gobsmacked at the final total. Took a while to put it all away, then had a nap. DS pleased with the jeans when he got back from work. He's a lot more appreciative of me just now, it's lovely 😊 wrapped more presents, then did some knitting & watched a film.
Grateful for g/f having a good time, my boys bring such a great help to her, lots of laughter with my friends last night, getting most things off my list today, DS helping to carry all the shopping into the house, time to knitUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Good morning ⛅
Well I am officially old. I was on my PC yesterday and thought 'I must do my MSE entry' and 2 minutes later it had gone out of my head never to return! I need a 'To Do' notebook clearly. My brain can't retain things like it used to, and after a few months off from here - it's not yet a habit again!!!
I chuckled at your entry f0xh0les - I am eagerly awaiting your guide to perfection and living a bad-habit free life!!! It is genuinely great that you are your number one fan though! Thank you, Apple, re. my job! Long overdue.
So yesterday was a good day. The sun was shining so I got myself out for a walk and got my steps in. I have re-started trying to do intermittent fasting, as it did work pretty well when I tried it last time before the stress-steam-roller flattened all my best intentions again!!!
Yesterday I was grateful for:
1) The local park and for being so close to nature
2) A bright crisp Autumn/Winter* day
3) Peace, calm and quiet
* So meteorologically Winter starts 01st December - but on my calendar it starts on 21st December, so I'm still in Autumn haha
Yesterday = NSD number 2
I'll be back (as Arnie once said) later to check in for today! 🙃⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐
