Hi everyone, hope you are all well. Need to catch-up on everyone's posts so will be back later!
@DrCarrie it is a challenge that excites and terrifies me in equal measure - the baseline of an excellent adventure 🧗♂️. Hope you are successful in your challenge. We overpay our mortgage every month and once the other debt is repaid will join in the mortgage free wannabe quest in full force! Back later, have a lovely day everyone 😊

f0xh0les, I saw some vegan Dr martens on gumt, size 6, and thought of you. But they're collection only from Bournemouth, so not much use...

@f0xh0les, that typo made me chuckle, mice pie ..goes with the Mäusespeck. Used to love that as a kid.
Lazy morning here. Did a small weekly shop yesterday. Later today I'll stick a few washes on and peel the kids off the couch for a dreaded walk.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/259 -

NSD 2 for me today, not going anywhere, and no plans to buy anything.Decent dog walk this morning, as it was dry for a change.OH was enthusiastic to help, so we did loads of cooking this morning. I first went through the fridge to see what needed using most urgently, and then we made meals for the week - a Thai chicken curry, a lasagne and a sausage casserole, and did the mountain of washing up that this produced. Actually probably more than a week, so I will need to freeze some of it. Also did 2 loads of washing (phew!), as it is dry and windy rather than damp and foggy like the last few days. One load is mostly dry and finishing off on the airer, and the other is currently on the line.Had the heating on for a couple of hours this morning, but turned it off when we started our cook-a-thon.Might make some cakes, flapjacks and a crumble this afternoon. Sounds a lot, but if that oven is going to be on, then it will be full! And I need to wipe out the fridge (I should have done that before I started, but OH was keen to get chopping
)
Grateful for decent drying weather, getting lots done, and a choice of what to have for dinner!8 -

Today was grocery delivery day so I'm staying on NSD 1.
Awake at 5.30am to let OH out of the drive so he could go to work. Made a tea and went back upstairs to sit in bed. I couldn't get back to sleep but I could get some relax time.
DS woke up at 7am looking for his breakfast. We had breakfast, got washed and dressed, wrote a letter to Santa... Saneberries delivered our weekly groceries which I speedily put away... and we still made it to football training on time!
Home after football for a quick freshen up and change of clothes, a skoosh of OH's aftershave and a splodge of his hair gel, and it was off to DS's classmate's birthday party.
2 loud hours later, I arrived home with a sugar-high child... ahhh, time for a quiet cup of tea... oh no wait... Dad's showed up at the door. Dad comes in full of energy and chat...
It's just after 4pm and I am done.
OH says he will be home by 6pm... I'll likely be hiding under a blanket.
I'm sure today was a glimpse of the days/weeks to come which is why one of my focuses this month is to recharge on the quiet days (if there are any).
Grateful today for DS getting invited to the party, for seeing DS and the other kids having great fun (I really wanted to join that conga line!), and for getting 5-minute's peace now to write today's turtle report.

Back from a lovely meal with grand-baby and her parents. Dealt with quite a lot this morning - room sorting, mask and hose cleaning, getting myself ready for the day, nearly bursting into tears after I took my glasses off to comb my hair and couldn't find them afterwards. Good chat with mum's lodger, DS3 and Beloved went off to shop for bridesmaid stuff and DS3 locked the door behind him. My keys were upstairs so I had to take lodger through the kitchen (the fairies had left me 6 bin bags after their overnight tidying) and then round to the front of the house to collect parcels from the postwoman (who came back to my front door to take a photograph of them).
Then back to my room and the laptop to check for messages from DS2 - they'd already left and meal was booked for 12.15 - yikes. Hastily gathered up stuff, got it downstairs and used the broken walker to transport it to the front of the house, then sat on it and drank a can of diet drink before they arrived. Managed to hand over presents whilst we waited for food. They were dropping off some of the boys' dad's ties and a shirt to be turned into a memory bear and cushion.
Back upstairs and inclined to stay here and make a fresh start on outside tomorrow morning. I might have a little nap and I already have a tuna baguette to eat, then will continue with my room. Grateful for a lovely meal and time spent with my family, more sorting and more things out of the house and an offer to buy me some heavy duty shelving to store the records and software for the cataloguing, if I want them.Very grateful for surviving this week.8 -
Evening turtles
Today feels like it's flown by even though I've taken more than one opportunity to sit and scroll on my phone...
I went to the local Xmas fayre and picked up two gifts that OH can give to my parents. Didn't buy anything myself despite being tempted by endless cakes and treats!
Also bought some eggs, wrapping paper, hay and litter for my rabbits and some limescale remover for the toilet. Very much not a NSD!
Came home and vegetated for a bit after lunch, then put my little Xmas display up, and have batch cooked loads of lunches and dinners for the week ahead. Kitchen now looks like a bomb has hit it but that's a job for later.
Haven't worked out yet but will fit something in before dinner. Have eaten well today as well and have a healthy dinner to come.9
