A boxer and a rottweiler - the rottie loves to be hoovered he goes mad when I take the end bit off so he knows whats coming, he is on his last life at the mo, he bit my OH 3 weeks ago ended up in hospital with a severed arm!! We have to be so careful now he has to be muzzled when out etc.... he should have been put to sleep really, if it was anyone he had bitten then he would have been......my eyes are welling up now because he is a real sweetie with me, like me and my shadow!!
Good grief, are you serious, a severed arm? You mean his arm was right off?0 -

Have you considered giving your OH the jobs he wants to do as his?
They may not be what you would like him to do, but any help is better than nothing, and if the jobs are "his" then if they are not done, it is his fault!
I have an extremely tidy DH, me I'm not a natural, and he goes off on one, now and again, but I don't get wound up, and run round fixing it, its more on the lines of if you don't like it do something about it. If he really gets mad, then he storms round the house cleaning up, it doesn't take him long when he's mad and it soon looks sparkling!Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Hi there
Not had even a chance to catch up with what is going on.
Happy birthday to Adam and Quasar.
Did huge Christmas wrapping tonight and all done plus wrote and delivered local Christmas cards. Just one or two wee extras to get which will do tomorrow as I have taken day off. Getting my monthly BP check tomorrow and then meeting DD to sort out her and DSIL's pressies. They don't know it but we are giving them a night away, dinner B&B in a hotel (weekend of their choice) for a pressie! But I still want them to have a parcel to open on the day.
Also have wrapped DGS1 birthday present for next month and also done a wrapping of a book for DGS2 for April!
Sorry I am not on the ball tonight.
Love and hugs to all.

Hi!
Well my plans to give the house a good clean failed as I drank 2 glasses of mulled wine at our church drop-in this morning and I lost the will to clean after that! :rotfl:
I did manage to make a lovely shepherd's pie for tea though.;)
DD2's victorian trip and outfit was a success and she looked pretty good in the (tightwad) costume I created for her.
Tomorrow I need to do my last bit of shopping, clean the house and make some pies. I'm in work on Thursday (party day:eek: ) and I've been roped into doing some carol singing in the evening for some of our housebound parishoners, don't know why they asked me as I can't hold a tune in a tin can! :rotfl: I may end up miming.:D0 -
Off to bed now as so knacked.
Love and hugs to all.

Awww thanks to all those who have wished me a happy birthday!
:o:o
And I hope Adam has had as good a good birthday  as I have. Went for a meal and then to a nice pub in the West end.
I feel terrible now because I haven't posted in here for a long while. But I never know what to say anymore - I have a job that gives me good perks so that I don't have to scrimp for the essentials and little time to be a real old styler. I feel I have put in place all the good habits that I can at this stage.
You lot seem all so competent and always have some new trick to share - I know because I DO lurk in OS every day, and occasionally I even have something to say..
Oh, and I've never got round to posting some of those traditional recipes from the Rosemary Hume bookChances are you lot know them already.
Post long and prosper, folks - I do love to pop in and read of your latest ideas! :j:jBe careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0
