Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 18/12/07. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Happy Birthday Adam & Quasar:j:j :j:j :j :j
Morning Guys!
Was awoken at 4.30am by a text message and cant get back to sleep, so have come downstairs, got a Fortisip from the fridge and taken some pain killers as I can barely move.
Today I have hospital after the needle nurse is here at 8am.
The WM is on ATM and will need to be hung on airer and DW is set to go on after breakfast. Toilet will be cleaned in a while.
My helper was unable to come yesterday or today, and not sure if she will be here tomorrow? She is a lovely girl, but I really need the consistency ATM with my health being quite poor.
OH is still feeling abit bruised, but seems alot better.
I need to make several calls today, send a parcel off and a letter. Made another £29 on Ebay which all adds up.
Pressies all bought now and wrapped and all cards sent. We have invested in 4 tins of different choccies as we couldnt decide:o
Am looking forward to our holiday on the 29th December for 8 days:j :j :j ....we are going to Norfolk again as we love it there and the lady we hired the bungalow from has let us have it for £200 over the new year too. She also provides some provisions and there are great local shops, beaches and places to visit..we cant wait!
Hugs to all and hope everyone is ok.

Morning PP and mrs_mix:hello:
BIL and wifey are moving to Scotland today, if they go any further north they'll be in Iceland  FIL is going on thursday. They both sold up and bought a hotel, none of them have any hotel experience whatsoever, should be interestingYou wouldn't believe the arguements this has caused, mr tru and his other brother have been left to do all the running around for their dad (who won't get off his bum and do ANYTHING - we even had to nag him to pick up the phone and sort out van hire). I can't wait til they're all gone TBH.
I'm meeting mum in town today and going to FIL's later so won't get much done in the house today.
Sorry some of you are having a rubbish time at the momentBulletproof0 -
Morning PENPIN - I do hope the painkillers work soon and that everything goes well for you today; it must be difficult to plan anything when your helper doesn't turn up. You're doing very well on eBay. I must admit, I haven't put anything on for a while. I sort of lose interest then I read that someone has done consistently well and I have another go! I must get organised for after Christmas and spend some time on it.
Well, just a few minutes on here before DH gets up. He leaves at 6.40 and then I must get going. I still have loads to do (but then, don't we all, especially at this time of year?!) and I want to go to the shops, the post office and the gym. I'm going to clean the fridges today and do some more wrapping up and write a couple of rogue Christmas cards.
My mission taking DS2 and GF's cat to the vet for de-manning yesterday proved a success. He was on a strict scrambled egg diet yesterday and back to normal food today. The vet nurse told them that it took two nurses to hold him down for the injections because he freaked out - I do wish they hadn't told them - they found it upsetting, obviously. I told them he won't remember it (and, let's face it, if he does, he'll blame me for taking him!). Anyway, he'll be fine from now on. They had him micro-chipped at the same time, so he won't have to go back for that!
Well, I'd better get DH's packed lunch done and put the porridge ready. He's working outside all day so I like to make sure he's throughly well-stocked up to beat the cold.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Mrs Mix:snow_laug
Good morning everyone,
Happy Birthday Quasar & whoever Adam is.
Been heaps cooler here today. I've had a bit of a cleaning day. Gave our timber table a good going over, the louvers upstairs (again, sigh) roll on bitumen road and general dusting etc. I also sorted out some recipes that I"d just printed out and shoved in my recipe folder. All those things you do when the power is off.
DH back to the spec on Thursday as part of his mouth isn't still right  so finally after a week of nagging he's doing what he's told. I'm going with him too.
PP maybe you could kiss it better.
Mrs Mix I hope the damage isn't too bad.
Well better start tea or we'll be eating very late. Hope you all have a nice day. ByeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0
