Morning all
I'll be late for work this morning, the lodgers only just got up & is making no attempt to get her a*se in gear. She was burning cakes at 4 this morning again & is now knackered, I'm leaving in 5 mins, with or without her.
The good news is that she is going away for a few days over Christmas, the bad news is I have to get her to the local coach stop!!! She threw such a tanterum last night, screaming & throwing herself around, all because she couldn't work out how to book her travel on line, I ended up showing her how & she's the IT teacher. I was tempted to leave her to it, but to be honest I need a break from her & if that means booking her tickets & Driving her to the coach station, so be it.
Have a good one everyone.
Hugs Hester

PENPIN hope you get sorted soon, there is nothing worse than being in constant pain.
MRS MIX hugs to you
:bdaycake: Happy birthday to all celebrating.
Today I'm looking forward to finally getting on with my essay having done most of the things off my list. DS breaks up from school tomorrow and i am back at work so I really need to get on with it. Fortunately, I'm one of these people who work best under pressure:rolleyes: .
DS has Christmas party at school today. Have made a chocolate traybake for him to take in. Thank goodness his school still accept cakes. In the NHS we're not allowed to accept anything homemade. One year one of our carers made a lovely Christmas cake for the patients. We just didn't have the heart to tell her we couldn't give it to them and dished it out anyway. Just another example of NHS redtape and some idiot in an office making rules about patient-care  .
Am looking forward to all this studying being over by July and having a life again. Hopefully, I'll have my allotment by September. I'm looking forward to disappearing there, preferably with a shed to sit in:T . One of my neighbours also has an allotment there. He's been growing his own veg for years so hopefully he'll be able to pass on some tips.
Must go and get DS up for school. Have a good day everyone:A xxx0 -

HH-I dont know how you put up with it? She would have been out a long time ago if she was staying here! I wouldnt expect my DD to act this way, so wouldnt allow a lodger too. Is it really worth the small amount of money you are getting?

Me again
DS now up and sitting like a zombie on the sofa.
BLAIRWEECH have just read your post about the present from yesterday. How rude! I would have a word with the girl's parents. That is such a bad attitude to have. Our DS is 6 and a half. He's a bit behind with his reading, but he loves books especially Horrid Henry at the moment. He often sits on his bed and "reads" and really enjoys being read to although he finds reading hard. I've been reading to him since he was 6 weeks old and could focus! Sounds like this girl's parents need to get their priorities right, especially if she's not reading at the age of 7.
Anthow rant over, just hate rudeness as you know, hence why I bought chickens on behalf of some of my nephews and neices this year.
Must go and be constructive! :A xxxx0 -
HESTER - that girl is so lucky to have you as a landlady - anyone else would have turfed her out weeks ago. I agree that it will be worth all your organising now if it gets you a few days break over Christmas. I wonder how on earth she teaches efficiently if she's up half the night cooking (burning?). I don't think I could face getting up in the mornings if I had someone messing up my kitchen in the night! Can't you say the kitchen is out of bounds after midnight and before, say, 5.30 a.m.? After all, you don't know what might happen while you're asleep.
Happy Birthday to Master Pink and Quasar.
Well, just had a shower, cleaned the bathroom and put some of the wrapped presents around the tree. Going to make a coffee now and write yet another list. I might need to get another set of lights for the office window. It overlooks the front garden and drive and I put some new lights in the window at the weekend - they're lovely, little green Christmas trees; the only drawback is that you can only see them at night so I turn them off during the day! I might just get a cheapie set for daytime use.
Anyway, off to do something.
See you all later.

By the way, for you Cranford fans - watched the final episode last night, Sky+ed from the night before. I shall miss it a lot now that it's finished. I've really enjoyed it. The BBC at it's best.KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Good morning everyone,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAM xxx
Just one LO here today - and the big box is still standing, so lots of fun with that one again today.
We also need to go and get some milk, and i have a package to drop off at the post office, so we will be driving to school this morning so i can get everything done. Didnt want to be driving, but never mind.
Tonight is our Christingle service - DS is one of the narraters (sp) and DD also has a couple of lines to read - she was so excited to actually get something, normally she is overlooked because she is quite a shy, quiet girl, she has also had speach therapy and still has a few problems, so this will be wonderful for her. I will get all misty eyed again, seem to cry at all sorts at the moment!!!
Bad nights sleep again, DD was in with me as she got a bit upset last night as some boys at school had been talking about Father Christmas - she asked me if it was true what they were saying, so we had a chat about it. DS has never asked, ive always had a policy of telling them the truth if they ask (DS has had the 'birds and bees' chat, DD hasnt) but if they dont ask, i dont volunteer - i do think he knows, but while he hasnt asked, maybe there is still part of him that might believe!! (he did ask about the tooth fairy, but i didnt offer any other info!!!)
Need to clean the kitchen floor today, and will be making some biscuits when we get back from town, as we dont have any left!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day - keep warm, its freezing out!!!
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

:xmassmile Good Morning!
Happy Birthday to Quaser and Adam!
(((hugs))) to PP, Mrs Mix, aussies oh and all who are poorly.
Redruby - (((hugs))) for your parents and their friend, that is so sad but a peaceful way to go, I have quite a few friends who I worry about with ms - it does seem to be prevailant over here in the south east.
Charlies Mum - I agree it is a disgrace that folk have to suffer so in our so called caring community.
Today I have to cross lots of things of my list, including cards posted, pressies bought and wrapped and I must visit my friend now she is home from hospital, she will be back in after New Year so must make the most of her being local. I have had great fun collecting gifts for her and her oh and making up a hamper for them.
Hope to head off to Wales for the day on Friday to visit with big sis and deliver pressies, we have to take pup with us so hope she travels well.
Must get on, puppy to walk before I even think of doing anything else, have a good day!
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Morning everyone
Had a good day yesterday, cards written, graduation photos copied for rellies, godparents, all but my pressies wrapped, bed arrived, more scanning done, so feeling more positive, going to go out today to do some chores, it seems a little warmer here around 5 deg. and no frost overnight.
Birthday wishes Quasar & Master PW
On the FC front, I just countered it well, those who don't beleive don't get anything. To this day I don't think I have actually told DS though I think at 22, he has figured something by now!
(((hugs))) to those in need.
