Hi everyone. Sil bought each of my DDs a lovely pink dvd player for christmas-about 7 weeks ago. They are packed away for christmas and we decided to buy one of DDs a pink portable tv for christmas. The only one he could get is a tv dvd player! So really don't know what to do as she wants a pink tv and we can't get one without dvd and we can't really take dvd player back from sil as she unexpectedly passed away 4 weeks ago. Any one got any ideas please???
Wollworths have a pink 15" plasma TV but it is £149.99 :eek:You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

If that was me I think I would take them back and with the money get them something that they can keep and remember their auntie with - I know she bought them but I think as it was unexpected you could get something they can keep for a lot longer (jewellery maybe?)
Anyway sorry to hear you lost your sil so recently that must be hard for you
Blairweech ((((((hugs))))))) get him to do it himself whilst you go out and treat yourself:D0 -
Afternoon everyone.
Happy birthday to all celebrating.
Had a busy day so far, been to watch ds2+ds3 xmas concert which was great then came home quick tidy up, and have just been out for a pub lunch with 2 friends which made a nice change.
I now am cleaning up and sorting washing out, had to order new coffee machine as mine broke last night, just after i had bought lots of nice posh coffee for over xmas, so we have treat ourselfs to one with a milk frother attached, it was a bargin reduced from £50 to £25 so snapped that up quickly ment to be delivered tommorow.
I think my sister and Bil are coming round tonight to exchange gifts, and tommorow is start to wrap day lol, i will be finished for when the kids break up!!! I hope!!

Afternoon all,
Still bright here but seems colder...maybe its just my advancing years!
Eventually posted the cards I wrote and stamped on Sunday, feel as if I have achieved something!
Nothing exciting, both grandsons here, so some supervision needed so that they don't just watch tv.
Bacon cooked for dinner, mash, carrots and cabbage to be done...hungry now
Still four presents to buy...never know what to get for DS1 so will be hit and miss.
Hugs to all in need or want

Right, I have:
- Cleaned the bathrom and mopped the floor (got down and scrubbed it as all the dirty water seems to collect in the grooves of the tiles)
- Have a load of washing on
- Made apple flapjackWe must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
TATTYCATH - so sorry to hear that you lost your SIL so recently.
ANNIEBOOKLOVER - I must admit, I felt a bit cheated when they killed Mr Carter off in Cranford. I know he left a wonderful legacy but he was a lovely character. It came as quite a shock and I would rather they had spent some time trying to resuscitate him before dashing off to Sophie! The acting has been superb - I love Judi Dench, anyway, but she surpassed herself in this. Definitely one of Britain's national treasures, as is Francesca Annis; I thought her part must have been very difficult to play. I thought Imelda Staunton was fantastic as Mrs Pole - in fact, all the acting was brilliant. And as for little Harry, well, he certainly tugged at my heartstrings. He was gorgeous and very convincing.
Well, I have finished nearly all my shopping this morning apart from one thing. DS2 wants one of those gaming chairs. They are reduced in Argos at the moment so I tried to order one online and went through the whole ordering process only to be told that it is out of stock. I'm afraid I was so angry at having my time wasted that I have just rattled off a cross email complaining! I had tried to buy one in PC World this morning because they have them reduced as well but, as soon as I saw the size of the box, I knew it wouldn't fit into my car. They don't deliver and, also, would not let me pay and then collect it at the weekend (when I can use DH's 4x4). They advised me to order from their website. Well, I would but it's £15 dearer plus another £5.95 for delivery! So, I've just rattled off an email to them asking if I can buy online at the instore price. No doubt, they'll answer that some time in the new year. Anyway, I'll just have to hope they still have some left on Saturday. I'm not very impressed that they don't deliver from the store and I'm not impressed with Argos wasting my time, either! Anyway, rant over.
Well, it's getting dark now so I can put my office window Christmas lights on now (they don't show up during the day!).
I went to the gym after I had been shopping but my mind was so preoccupied about Christmas that I can barely remember what I did there! I shall be so glad when it's Christmas Eve and too late to do anything else.
Anyway, I can hear the kettle calling. Will call in later.
