Happy birthday Quasar!!! 100 years old, and can still make it to the toilet:rotfl::rotfl:
Happy birthday to Adam, hope your mum spoils you rotten today!!!
Blairweech, grrr what brats!! They haven't been taught manners. Once I gave a Paddington Bear to a work colleague for her birthday and by way of thanks for her helping me so much as I was continually pestering her with questions. She opened the package and announced "I don't like Paddington". It nearly went up her a**e. I told her to put it in the bin and say no more about it.
Mrs Flittersnoop OMG OMG OMG what an awful lot of money. OK I'll not rub it in, but.................OMG!!!
Am thinking of taking a sickie today, god forgive me...I've a slightly sore throat but yesterday I was in the mood from hell. Don't know what's wrong with me (if anything:o) but I can't face that hellhole today... Wish me luck........
N9eav, glad you're having a fab time on your Jollydays in USA. It does sound like that because petrol over there is so cheap they just waste it on big gas guzzlers despite it not being an infinite resource. George W needs to wake up and smell the coffee, as they so eloquently put it over there.
OK, going to make the phone call now....catch you all later!

morning all again,
Have had a good tidy through house, hoovered and moped floors, sanded down other half of beech worktops in kitchen and re oiled, only have to do it twice a year, but never look forward to it
Got a present to wrap for my friends DD, its her b'day on boxing day, poor thing, will need to take it into work tomorrow as I will not see her untill after xmas.
thanks for the thoughts re parents friend, but the whole thing is being looked upon as a blessing really, his wife said he was ready to go, and the funeral is more of a celebration of his life, I am sure a few glasses will be raised tonight.
Got to prepare dinner, then do the last bits of online shopping for delivery sunday, last few fresh bits. Got the heating on here, don't normally have it on during the day, but its b****y freezing.
Hugs to al those feeling poorley, and those with expensive car bills.
Good luck to all the children in plays etc, you are all fabulous darlings xx0 -

I have ordered another 2 little pressies for OH just now, a trendy tamper and a tamping mat, he asked for it for christmas but I seem to have got everything but what he asked for!
Tomorrow is hair cut and roots at 11am then Thursday at 8.30am is false nails ready for crimbo.
I seem to have bucked my ideas up a little since last week but I woner if it's because the sun is shining, that always seems to make me feel better!
Hope everyone is keeping warm.0 -
Hi everyone. Sil bought each of my DDs a lovely pink dvd player for christmas-about 7 weeks ago. They are packed away for christmas and we decided to buy one of DDs a pink portable tv for christmas. The only one he could get is a tv dvd player! So really don't know what to do as she wants a pink tv and we can't get one without dvd and we can't really take dvd player back from sil as she unexpectedly passed away 4 weeks ago. Any one got any ideas please???GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Hello all,
Thanks for the thoughts re: present, I'm glad you agree!! I can't say anything about it because her dad is OH's best friend. Never mind, she can have a smack in the mouth for her birthday next year(joke)
Woke up feeling rubbish today - just generally fed up of worrying about money, the house, OH etc. It seems I face constant criticism at the moment.
At 7.30 this morning, the first words I heard were 'Right, I'm going to tidy the house because it's a pigsty and it needs to be made presentable'...I actually thought the house was tidy???? Needless to say, that made me feel so much better about myself. What really annoys me is the way that OH is so keen to interfere and stick his oar in with my jobs (washing, tidying etc) - never does things like the washing up and the ironing though, which i have asked him to do. This also happens at the expense of doing his jobs, the ones I *need* him to do - lifting heavy things, putting up curtain poles etc.
Did get a text asking me to come in to work, but declined so that I could tidy up our pigsty
Sorry for the rant, am just feeling a bit rubbish. Off to clean the bathroom and mop the kitchen floor.
Have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes it's all an uphill sruggle and you might as well :wall: :wall: :wall:
My OH is not bad around the house , but when we are both working really hard and we haven't got time to turn round or anything else he will suddenly say. God this untidy house is really depressing me how can you live like this and not notice it, we'l have to sort it out. And sorting it out is great but, just because I haven't had a dicky fit doesn't mean I haven't noticed does it??? and as we all know when you have kids and other outside pressures sometimes the home can look like a bomb has dropped-on occasion. I wish my OH would do the DIY that needs doing, but it isn't his forte, but moaning about it is!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Soory, now I've had a rant too!!! ooh I do feel so much better!!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043
