  • Morning!

Finally got a good night sleep last night, which is just as well as I was getting exhausted. Feel for all you that were up in the early hours, particularly if ill or needed to be up for work the next day.

DS1 just whizzed out the door to take his nan out. Impressed that he was actually 10 mins early.

Have a friend coming round for lunch and then off out for a couple of hours with her, so Botham burgers defrosting and a quick clean around before jumping in shower and washing my hair.

    Take care all

morning folks. its 5 am here and I cant sleep any more. Jet lag in reverse I think. Got some great shopping yesterday and food is so cheap. I mean we sat down for a snack and had nachos and cheese with a large refillable drink for $2 a quid!
Off to Florida today, 6 hours drive.. We have a great car, but at 16mpg, should burn up quite a few oil reserves.

Hope you are all well over there..... cheers

  • Hi (again)

Forgot to welcome the newbies in my first post. Sorry. :o hi and welcome. :santa2:

mioliere I followed Cranford avidly. I hope you have watched the last episode before I spill forth my thoughts. :o The stellar cast was fantastic - especially Judi Dench. Her performance was understated to perfection. The ending was very bittersweet - I had a lump in my throat when Mr Carter died. I was so sure he and Miss Galindo would be married at the end. Francesca Annis was fabulous too. I may have to treat myself to the dvd when it comes out.

Shopping is done. Morrisons had Lanson Black Label reduced from £23.49 to £13.49! I got the very last bottle in the shop. :j As I had been saving up their savings stamps over the year, I felt as though my shopping was free! I'm going to do the same again next year.

    Must go, the podiatrist beckons.

((((hugs)))) to those with car trouble, big bills, poorly children, sad/bad news. xx

Just watch the waistline, I put on half a stone when I was there in October and think it must have been the refillable Cokes that did it

Yes I got morrisons stamps this year for first time. It felt great having an extra £100 budget for december shop!!! So I intend to buy more saving stamps for next year. Though I might go for 3 cards depending on cashflow.
