Loop have just sent out their invites for tomorrow 5-6pm0

Yup, BG never invited so I clicked the Loop invite. Upon inspection we generally use 1.5kwh for the period of 5-6pm so that button click was more or less a waste of my time. . .
Edit - and now I've actually had a look at the thread, I can see that I can make use of it. . .I've got a full basket of clothes that need to be washed and dried, so I should do that from 2-5???

It would be worth hearing the hot water tank by immersion, washing, tumble dryer, cooking a meal in the oven to be eaten or heated up by microwave later. Anything electrical charge and then turn everything off at 5pm.
Last time we did this we went enough back to pay for 1.5days electricity.

Get the washer/dryer/dishwasher/oven/immersion etc. on from 1pm-4pm (not 2-5) I might even ask hubby if he wants to vac his car and jet wash patio between those times.
This is the "normal" your use between 5pm and 6pm will mostly be compared to.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

£17.36 yesterday, I'm getting the hang of this nowMains supply switched off at the consumer unit so using precisely nothing at the moment running off the battery back up. Lights, TV etc. all working as normal. I have gas for cooking - and small appliance like the air fryer will run off the battery. Only minor annoyance is the igniter for the gas hob isn't connected to the backup circuits so I had to use a match to light the hob - an inconvenience I can live with though0

Yep not too shabby pays for a day and a bits full electricity each event.
We have upped the anti a bit for this 1.5hour event tonight so will see what rewards that brings especially as it pays £4.37 a kWh.
Very impressed with loops turn around of the savings made calculations as well.0
