OK, it's seems I only half-assed it yesterday and brought in a princely £2.25.
I think we did better today, cooking, drying and elec shower all called into duty so we'll see...

Remember in your calculations that Loop 'intend' to give users 80% of the sum awarded, and that it's paid as an Amazon voucher rather than cash.
(Still better than nothing if your supplier hasn't invited you).

Yep sometimes the only choice when you have a naff supplier that won't include all eligible customers.
This does mean over and above what we use for the day of the energy shift we get paid we will chose charities with Amazon wishlists for any profit we would have made. Win win
Loop are paying a crappy £4.37 per kWh saved for todays event.... definitely better than nothing 😜1 -
Well that was worthwhile

Did everyone else's lights go a bit dim?
I managed 8.98kWh and £39.23 which I was very pleased with, but I can see I must try harder next time
It was enjoyable but also quite time consuming as we shifted more use for the day than even before and even shifted some things that would have occurred later in the week to the in day adjustment period.
Big things were shifted like the weekly legionella burn with the backup heaters kicking in on the ASHP followed by shifting the heating for 5pm-9pm downstairs into the 1-4pm period by ramping up the ASHP weather compensation curve to +9oC. A washing machine drum clean as well as another load, tumble dryer, dishwasher, cooking in batch for a couple of hours plus garage gym heated for workouts.
Definitely the biggest shift was the legionella burn with the auxillary electric heaters turned on the ASHP and then telling the heating to go max out for three hours. (That was probably 15kwh but the ASHP didn't then kick back in til about midnight so that was a good shift of energy and we won't get legionnaires lol)
To put this into perspective for January the energy shift events plus the government £67 will mean a net free 515kWh
Another metric is we shifted 60kWh of use which would have cost £17.54 and will get paid £83.85 (that doesn't even take into account the shifted energy was going to be used anyway)0 -

Missing this one as we are away, although I am wondering how loop know that as we didn't get the normal email invite anyway.0
