Happy saving. I'm a low electricity user and despite basically having everything off last time, I got a reward of 17p. Apparently using a bit more in the hours before the slot can give a higher reward though. I have a load of towels that need a wash and tumble dry so I'll try that in the afternoon and see how we go this time.I hate to boast but I got 22pI haven't decided how to spend it yet, but I'm not going to let it change my life.
Will be interesting to see what today brings - I have an electric heater in the bathroom that is thermostatically controlled. I'll warm the bathroom up at about 17:00 then turn it off for the peak period and see what happens.0 -
Use more between 1pm and 4pm (always 1-4 hours before the session time) and the strange calculations mean you get more reward. The calculations are set by the national grid and have to be used by all the companies who have signed up to the scheme.
I've got washer/dryer on, dishwasher and filling my battery at the moment (Octopus customer). I've gained £20 over the previous sessions by doing this.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Solar PV 5.25kWp SW facing (14 x 375) Lux 3.6kw hybrid inverter installed Mar 22 and 9.6kw Pylontech battery

Thanks - I had saved up my tumble drying. Last load just finishing now so should be done before 5. Maybe I'm able to break through the 20p barrier0

Use between 4pm and 5pm doesn't count, it 1-4pm that mattered.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

I thought I'd done badly with only getting 30p!
I'm with BG and they are refusing to update my smart meters so I can't benefit from their scheme as they claim they are unable to read my meters so I have no choice but to use Loop.
Something is better than nothing though.0 -

Keep going @carlos1973 - you only need to do that 12 more times and you'll have nearly enough for a pint of beer (as long as the beer delivery drivers aren't on strike, of course)

Something is better than nothing though.Raise an official complaint. Like all supplier's they know full well their obligations.
Enrolment & Adoption The Enrolment and Adoption obligation requires suppliers to take all reasonable steps to ensure that their SMETS1 meters become eligible for enrolment. 13 Once eligible, suppliers must take all reasonable steps to enrol their SMETS1 meters into the Data Communication Company (DCC) within 12 months of the meter becoming eligible. Suppliers are also required by their licence to take all reasonable steps to ensure all unenrolled SMETS1 meters are replaced with a SMETS2 meter by the end of the year, 31 December 2022.
I'm in the same boat with Sainsburys / Eon Next. Meter is clearly adopted as Loop can access the data but there must be some kind if database issue as other services that don't search for it by IHD mac address can't find it. A simple fix one would think if suppliers could be bother to actually raise it with the DCC.0 -

Nope in my case I've had no reasonable steps, unless one defines reasonable steps as claiming DCC told them it will take until 2025. I'm sure it would be easy enough for them to document what steps they have taken and why a SMETS1 meters cannot be replaced with SMETS 2. I suspect in most cases they simply cannot be bothered m

Legitimate excuse to outweigh any complaint I would expect.0
