I just opened an RBS digital saver, well earlier this week. It's a bit hit and miss with them. They've told me the account will be open 23rd November and funded via the SO I've set up coming from my current account, an RBS current account. I've had a message in internet banking telling me I've haven't enough funds in my account ( I have) or something else has gone wrong. What a strange message. Anyways waiting until the 23rd, btw no SO set up as yet by them.0

Yes, I have already been awarded a round up payment for a different transaction….. and yes, it’s still not showing for the Halifax payment despite it both showing as a paid and complete payment in both Halifax and NatWest.changearound1 said:MichaelAP said:
Nope….. Not in my case.It cleared both at Halifax and NatWest first thing this morning… no Pending Tx. I am still sceptical this works. I do not want to abuse the system but am intrigued if this actually works….. So far Nope.Descrabled said:MichaelAP said:
The payment cleared, that is why I mentioned it showed up on both Halifax and NatWest.anxiousnow said:
It says it will show when the payment clears, which can be up to 4 days.MichaelAP said:
Doesn’t appear to work… The payment using NatWest Debit Card went through and accepted on both Halifax and NatWest but no Round Up transfer took place.MichaelAP said:
Ahh.. good point. Just tried it as you said. I’ll see what happens tomorrow.flaneurs_lobster said:The Round Ups promotion only works for transactions using your debit card, not bank transfers. Can you credit your Halifax account with your NW debit card on the Halifax site/app?
Thanks. 👍If you paid Halifax credit card yesterday then it would have cleared at Halifax yesterday just before midnight. The earliest it will clear NatWest will be midnight tonight or just after.I paid Halifax yesterday and it has cleared with Halifax but is still pending at NatWest. In the app click on the payment and it will tell you the status.
Have you turned on Round Ups in the App?0 -

Note that they won't pay roundups if that would make you overdrawn in your current account at the moment the debit card cleared.

I had the same message - "something is wrong with our system" or words to that effect. Bizarre. It doesn't inspire confidence at all. I set up my own standing order this morning. And the b*stards even managed to winkle out my mobile number from me which I've managed to stop them getting before since it wouldn't let me apply unless I told them what it was.Brewer21 said:I just opened an RBS digital saver, well earlier this week. A £1.02 debit card payment to my Paypal account has triggered a double roundup credit to my Digital Saver of £1.96 (as expected). So I just need to do that another 2,500-ish times to max out my Saver.

Current account always holds at least £1000 for emergencies.Descrabled said:MichaelAP said:

The weird thing is that I saw a screenshot of that in the app but when I went to the NatWest one it wasn't showing it. Similarly if you google the saver it doesn't show it, but if you follow the link on the thread it does, £150 sent anyway and another to follow in DecemberPeskyBlunder said:Deleted_User said:Does anyone have any proof of this beyond the original entry saying it would happen? Seems odd NatWest themselves have not got anything on the site or in the app. Paying in £150 now and December for 5% interest is great but seems pointless if there is no confirmation this will happenAlso - I thought I had seen it when I opened my RBS account this morning but couldn't remember where but I've now found it:-Balance

I had one round up that took to the following day to appear but the one with a payment made in the Halifax App 5 days ago has still not shown as a round up despite showing as a payment cleared in both Halifax and NatWest.0 -
All three transactions (2 debits from CA, 1 credit to Saver) are showing the same date but from memory the roundup DR/CR appeared overnight following the debit card use.MichaelAP said:
