I will refer to the Newbies forum on how I should complete this and will post any questions on here.
One for now, the cover letter offers the opportunity to discuss a settlement over the phone. Is this advisable? What tack to people take and will this help or hinder any court proceedings?
Thanks again.
Read the covering letter again. It is a copy of the Claimant's DQ that DCBLegal have filed with the County Court Business Centre.
Wait for your DQ direct from the CCBC.
Never ever phone the Claimant or their solicitors.
Spot on, @keithp! This is indeed, DCB's DQ. I assume I will receive one through the post or should I download one and complete at this stage?
MCOL states the following:
DQ sent to you on 25/11/2022

- How long do I have to submit the DQ and is there any benefit in doing this sooner? I recall that with the defence, the advice was to prolong it
- The DQ form on the .gov site appears to have been updated and the advice by @bargepole here may be slightly out of date:
Court Claim Procedure (updated October 2016) — MoneySavingExpert Forum
Hence, my questions relating to this updated form:
- what should I state for D1?
- Can I state 2 for witness if I want my wife there for moral support? She may or may not say anything on the day.
- On the dates we are unavailable over the next 6 months, there are a few. I can't squeeze these into the small textbox that is provided in this form! Any advice on how I provide these?
Also, I notice that the claimants DQ is the "older" version. The latest version appear to have been update in June 22.

The letter that the CCBC send will tell you all this, e.g. the deadline to return it and who to send it to.
@Grizebeck's thread from June (when the DQ was changed) already explains the new DQ question and how to answer it.

If it was a problem for anyone, it would be a problem for the Claimant.2 -

Thanks all. Form now complete, along with the attachment containing our unavailable dates.
The form suggests that we return it to the court found on form N149A. I am guessing that is the letter I haven't yet received?
As I said above, I recently received the claimants DQ and noticed on MCOL it states that my DQ were sent on 25 Nov. I'm also unclear on how long I have for submitting the DQ. I'd appreciate your advice with this please.0 -

The idea being that you would have the information at your finger tips.
Please read what I posted this morning.
In a later post this morning - again on your very own thread - I said...The form itself or the covering letter tell you how long you have to respond.
No need to delay your response.2
