The reason for asking about timeframes is that I don't trust the postal service (still waiting to receive DQ letter) and I can the keep an eye on MCOL. I assume that the issue of a N279/Notice of Allocation will appear on a MCOL?1 -
Happy New Year,
I recently received a couple of letters by post;
1. Notice of Transfer of Proceedings
2. Reply Form
#1 states that the claim has been transferred to the County Court Hearing Centre for allocation. I am now awaiting the Notice of Allocation
#2 requires info on my financial situation but I am unclear who this is from and whether I am obliged to provide this.
If I have understood the Newbies Post correctly, I now need to await the Notice of Allocation, which provides a date and time for the hearing. It's at this point that I will need to provide the Witness Statements.
Can I please have your comments/validation on the above. Thanks again.0 -
Were the letters in the same envelope? Is there no clue as to who sent them? The Notice of Allocation should be from CCBC; was the envelope for the Reply Form similar? Where does the Reply Form ask you to send it? Sounds like it could be from the solicitors?1

Notice of Transfer of Proceedings is definitely from CCBC. Note that I don't have a Notice of Allocation yet.
The Reply Form is asking me whether I agree that I owe the debt or if I owe some of the debt, etc.
It suggests that the form should be sent to the "business"
I didn't see any reference to this in the steps set out in the Newbies Forum and hence, the confusion.
Thanks again.0 -
That looks like part of a Letter Before/of Claim and, as you have a claim, is irrelevant.2

I still cannot understand why you are querying a 'reply form'.
The extract from a letter that you have shown us looks like it may well be from before the County Court Claim was actually issued. You are well past that point, aren't you?I didn't see any reference to this in the steps set out in the Newbies Forum and hence, the confusion. In the second post of the NEWBIES thread it says...2 -

Am I also right in understanding that I am now awaiting the Notice of Allocation and that's what the Notice of Transfer of Proceedings is indicating too? i.e. no action until I receive The NoA?

I have already had the initial CCBC correspondence that I have acknowledged receipt of and filed my defense. This was registered in Money Claim Online. I did this a few weeks ago.0 -

You should simply be following bargepole's court procedures walk-through thread, linked in the NEWBIES thread 2nd post under the RED CAPITALS heading: 'IMPORTANT: KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN'.
It's all there for you.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
