28th is plenty of time for your WS, you have up to 7 days before the hearing to object to a paper hearing, but you should object ASAP.

I've emailed the enquiry email address found online and forwarded a copy of the DQ as advised. Is it normal for them to override the request like this or do you think its a mistake?

But you know from the NEWBIES thread and from the Template Defence thread that evidence doesn't get submitted with a defence.

The letter they sent says I need to send it all? Maybe I've misread it, but I thought it said I need to send the defence with itemised evidence by 28th Feb. It then says the claimant has to circulate it all by no later than 7 days before the court date. Have I got it all muddled?

Yes I think you have.

On 27 October 2022 at 8:13AM you reported that you had filed your Defence.

You do not need to file your Defence again.

What you do need to do is create a Witness Statement and gather your evidence in preparation for a hearing.

Do you have a Notice of Allocation that gives a hearing date and the date when your Witness Statement and evidence need to be filed and served?
