UKPC sent County Court Business Centre letter - what do I do?

Another thought, if they do discontinue, am I automatically awarded the £95 expense claim for my time etc or would I then have to bring about a claim?

That's covered in the NEWBIES thread section on costs - see the link to the thread by @bluetoffee1878 - but no, you can't claim £95 for a hearing that doesn't happen.  And you won't be filing a claim.

That's a real shame that we don't have the opportunity to hit them where it hurts after all the work they make us do writing the defences and witness statements. There should definitely be some sort of recourse for these companies!

Make sure you emphasise this point when you respond to the imminent DLUHC consultation. Bookmark or set up auto reminders for the following thread where there will be early information that the consultation is underway.

I absolutely will! Still no sign of their witness statement! Assume they have til 5pm?

Back from hols today to a letter saying they are discontinuing the claim against me! They never bothered sending any witness statements or anything after I spent so long doing mine so I wasn't entirely surprised but still happy to know its finished! Why they go through all this just to not bother is beyond me, it must cost them so much more in the long run! Hey ho, all done and dusted!

They do it because it is a numbers game and DCB group make an absolute fortune from those not lucky enough to find us on this forum.

It doesn't appear to be UKPC's decision.  They are happy to get money for almost all cases they hand over to DCB Group and it looks like DCB know exactly what they are doing with this model.

We need you - as a genuine PPC victim of aggression, sharp practice and an 'extortion' attempt to add £70 - to respond robustly to the Public Consultation on the level of parking charges and banning of the false added DRA 'fee' that too many honest motorists currently fall victim to.

You have a personal story to tell about the culture of greed that inflates parking charges to line the pockets of roboclaim bullyboy 'legal' firms, and incentivises court as a cheaper form of debt collection than the PPC making proper efforts to engage with the consumer,

I am sure you want your voice heard to stop this happening again.

All part of the scare tactics they employ which is on par to the Kray Twins without the guns.
This will have been noted by the courts as it's pure timewasting

You need to advise your MP about this and ask them to contact the MoJ

Sadly my MP is about as useful as a chocolate teapot! I've emailed many times in the past to help with a campaign close to my heart but every time it's ignored.
