Anyone able to tell me aswell please how long I have to fill in the N180 and if I need to make adjustments due to postal strikes? Thanks
You are asking some very very basic questions that you cant expect people to nurse maid you through
the answers are on the newbies thread and on the letter itself
You can actually answer your own questions
Ever thought that something that's basic to you, given that you are well versed in this process, is not basic to someone who has never seen it before or been in this position? I've read all the threads, just a yes or no would have sufficed. You don't need to make people feel like crap for asking a question. There's a whole thread about being nice, maybe you could read that!
    1. The form as you were advised by another poster told you when it should be received by. So that couldnt be any clearer
    2. The newbies thread tells you how to reply

    Everything already has clear instructions
  • But it's not clear when I've read through it all and still am unclear. Maybe it's clear to 98% of readers but it isn't to me. I'm sorry if you think I'm being dull, I need some help, you're just being mean and that's really upsetting.

The letter from the CCBC with the N180 tells you when it must be returned by - you must read very carefully everthing sent to you by the Court.

You have already posted a picture of it above, the date is very clear to see.

Emails are not affected by the postal strike so why would you need to make adjustments?

Well because they sent it on paper so I assumed I needed to send it back on paper via the post.
I didn't know if they would make any exceptions due to postal strikes but of course if I can send it via email that won't be an issue, I just didn't realise.
    No need to assume anything.
Please re-read my post on your thread just four days ago, on 10 December at 8:30PM.
As you should be able to tell from my response, I did read back through, multiple times.  It gives instructions for the old form, not for the new questions, hence me asking for additional guidance. I don't want to say anything that may incriminate myself when it comes to the question about being vulnerable. I also asked about Cardiff Court and the trial that was happening in June. I couldn't find any further info on that in the forum so I really disagree with the comment saying I want to me "nurse maided" through the process. Asking for a little bit of help is what I thought this forum was for, apologies if I've misunderstood!

The new question and how to answer it, is shown in a thread by @Grizebeck from June when it changed.  That should stop your case being set for a hearing on the papers.

Might be helpful seeing my reply so the hearing is not reviewed on the papers but an oral hearing. See post by @Snakes_Belly from the 12th Nov. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6377767/pcn-with-county-court-n1-form-excel-elms-legal/p8

As @coupon-mad has pointed out following what @Grizebeck wrote.

Please don’t think we are being mean, think of it as being cruel to be kind. You need to read everything carefully, read it again and again and again if need be.

The number of times I have had to do that, I've lost count. But it is a technique which works. Asking a question that has already been answered or is already in the paperwork shared tells us you are not paying sufficient attention to what is after all your problem not ours.

Reading your comments and replies suggests to me that you are neither uneducated nor stupid. You can articulate and spell - which puts you on an equal footing with myself on the first point and perhaps ahead of me on the second. I can’t spell.

Positive criticism is helpful, you should be grateful not upset. We are helping you, not judging you.

Ultimately you may up in Court defending yourself alone. You need to be ready to argue your case, take the flak now learn from it and read everything carefully, once, twice or thrice. You can do it.

That is the crux of it. The aim of all the people on here is to help you successfully see off the scammers, and that may have to be done in court. You have to actually understand the process and what you write, otherwise you will not have the answers when the \judge asks ! Blindly copying will not work

  • I get what you're all saying. I've got my big girl pants on now.
I have sent via email to ccbcaq@justice.gov.uk and info@dcblegal.co.uk as a picture attachment, considering if I should re-send using a pdf converter to be sure they have no issue opening the images.
Better to cover all bases I guess.
  • I did send as a PDF too!

Letter received, my case has been allocated to the small claims track without the parties attending. So I can't even speak for myself! The hearing date is the 2nd May so currently getting my evidence together and my defense. It's pretty much already written as posted previously. The letter also says my case is suitable for mediation and I'll be contacted by the mediation service within 21 days, nothing to mediate though surely? Assume they will want me to pay something and I don't want to pay anything!! Hey ho, nearing the end of the saga I guess!!
