That's fabulous, thank you Coupon-Mad. I'll add in the paragraphs you've written above and change the numbering to follow through and submit. I really do appreciate all your assistance everyone.

Defence has been sent to the email address in the Sticky thread.  Do I also have to submit it through the mcol site? Do I just wait for them to come back to me now?

NO! Nothing goes in the box on the MCOL site, not even a full stop.  If you used the e-mail address (CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk) in the sticky and in the defence template that is job done - except - did you get a confirmation of receipt of your e-mail?
  • Yep I've got confirmation email. Time to sit tight then!

A couple of weeks ago I wrote on your thread...

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

  • I have received these in the post today! What is it all about please and what do I need to do?

What you need to do is go back to that checklist you abandoned after you filed your Defence.

Item 7 on that checklist explains exactly how to deal with that letter.

Items 8, 9, 10 and 11 on that list are well worth another read too.

Wondering how we can make it clearer than those first 12 steps spelt out in the first post of the thread everyone goes to for their Template Defence?

Trouble is, the NEWBIES thread already has enough info in it, and the Template Defence thread seems like the obvious place for the first steps.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD

The clue for you is paragraph 3 in the letter

Think logic ........ why would DCBL want to deal if they are certain they will win ??

We have now seen that paragraph so many times and the result thus far

DCB LEGAL RECORD OF PRIVATE PARKING COURT CLAIM DISCONTINUATIONS

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6377263/dcb-legal-record-of-private-parking-court-claim-discontinuations/p1

You could well be number 73 in this thread

They do this because UKPC claims are utter crap

Ignore and no form filling. Carry on as if this will go to court ..... AND WAIT ?

To be fair, I thought I had done everything I needed to do until I heard back from them. I didn't realise there was a "checklist I abandoned" , I thought I was working through the process?
Apologies, it's been a long day and to get in to see these letters has scared me. Like I've already mentioned this is really affecting my mental health, I'm not asking you to hold my hand, but please understand I'm not meaning to be annoying or frustrating, I'm just scared to to the wrong thing.
