I am utterly gobsmacked by your wife's attitude.  I am wondering if she needs some help TBH, no normal sane person would treat someone like she is treating you.
You certainly do need to speak to some charities and you would be better off without your wife. I'm not sure how that will work out, but you can't carry on like this. What effect is it having on your kids?   Please get help

I am so very sorry to hear this. My son works for the NHS and they are very supportive from his experience. If you haven't already, please reach out to them. You really can't be living in a shed, that's awful and I'm sad. I'm not sure what the so-called friends at the BBQ thought, are they all too scared of her to speak up and say something?

How are your children in all this mess?

The list of things you have achieved over the last few years has been AMAZING by the way. I am taking a degree part time and it is not a walk in the park at all! The fact that you took a degree whilst working long hours is admirable. I know you know it and you are rightly proud of that!

  • I have also been following along your diary but haven't posted before. I just wanted to reach out and offer support to you. I honestly can't believe your wife's behaviour, I'm so sorry that you are going through this, you do not deserve it! I don't have any practical advice except as others have mentioned, documenting everything she has done with dates and times, also are you able to speak to a solicitor about where you stand legally in all this if she is not allowing you into your own house? I hope things improve for you. Have you told the GP what is going on at home? They might be able to help as well. It sounds as though you have worked so hard and provided for so long, always putting family first. Take care

Agree with @sunshine_raincloud there. You really should speak to a solicitor

  • Reading what you have achieved in the last 10 years is amazing.

But did you have to do all that to keep her happy? 😕  she sounds a very sad woman so whatever you do it will never be enough.

Do you not have any family or friends at all or have you become estranged from them?

I can't emphasis enough that you have to look after YOU. Please seek help to do this.

Stay strong as you are an amazing person.

    Hi ya

My dad is 86 and in poor health and I can't stay at his accommodation and my mum died in 2009.

Sadly I have no other family I can call upon.

My friends all have kids and a life and realistically it is not an option.

Today I took. Her shopping with a budget of £20. Came to 18.50.

In the lidl car park she went nuts

Says this is a "half" life and that scrabbling with £20 isn't for her. When I siad this is the way of the world now, she said this isn't what she wants and she wnats an (unrealistic) life of not working, no budgeting and an unlimited credit line.

I literally feel I'm coming apart of the seems at times

That's true, hadn't thought of that. She should be shopping alone
