If I may add my two pen north. Your children are seeing your wife treat you like this. To them this will be normal and they will possibly take the behaviour into adult life. Do you want this? Take the advice you have been given for both your sake and the future of the children.3

The wife and child staying in the house isn’t a right and isn’t automatic. It is possible for the house to be sold and both of you take your share to live somewhere smaller and cheaper. That’s why any proper legal advice and not possible misinformation from those around you.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
@ladyholly, this is exactly right.NiteEyez, you will be protecting them now and from the chances of them becoming perpetrators themselves. You need to understand you are minimising serious abusive behaviours because you have been exposed to them for such a long time. This is not going through a "bad patch" because of financial difficulties. Your wife wont change. She will never be happy either because it appears that no amount of money will ever be enough.I hope you managed to complete the three actions on the plan today. If not, then do them tomorrow xxx
