When you book you should get a automated email from him, i think the tracking only works if you book off ebay

Only got an automated email from paypal which had the title receipt of payment from him. The one you usually get when you pay someone with paypal. But this doesnt confirm he has booked it as read earlier that he has to manually book it. Is that correct? do you get any other e-mails?

I've been like that before, and then they came at about 4:55! Was just getting ready to email the company too!

TKPeters, you may want to add DirectParcelDelivery back on to the list. They are up and running again, and are going fine. They came back online about a week or so ago.

Its just that ive used 2 other companies previously from ebay(no longer there). They used parcel force and i used to get a confirmation e-mail that my parcel has been booked. But first time iv used home-textiles so wasnt sure it was booked or not.

What a nightmare I had with pre paid parcel. I normally use parcel force as I have a contract but PPP where a lot cheaper, all went fine the first few parcels, but Wednesday gone was a nightmare. Ordered 3 pickups at 9am, received confirmation that DHL where picking up, waited in all day no one arrived. Checked the confirmation they had cancelled it saying refused nothing to be picked up. Eh whats that all about. Next day contacted PPP who said sorry will rebook free of charge. Free of charge i had already paid, cheek. Was told they would be there before 5pm.
It was coming up to 5pm and no one had arrived so rang DHL direct was told on way, asked what happened day before about refused pick up and was told probably a casual driver, they only have so many reasons not to pick up so they make it up on the computer.
5.30, DHL finally arrived and took the parcels, I asked where the paperwork was and he said he didnt have any, he was called by DHL to make a detour to pick up. so no paperwork or tracking labels.
He did manage to find 2 and I got him to sign a piece of paper to say what he took. He also said he would sort it out when he got back, reluctantly I said ok. 2 hours later at 7.30pm after biting all my nails he did ring back with new tracking numbers, th etwo he gave me where no good. So I gave three parcels to a casual driver with no proof. TBH the driver was great, he went out of his way to help using his own time and phone.
I emailed PPP twice with a complaint, did they reply did they eck. So never using them again. Better the devil you know, never had any problems with parcel force.

I have used home-textiles a few times before on ebay. They are good. The problem we have is home-textiles (parceltree) charge customers VAT, but they don't provide VAT receipt. We are VAT registered business. So we can not claim VAT back without a VAT invoice.
After PPP increased their rate, I think they are not cheapest any more. If parceltree provide VAT receipt, they are the cheapest for VAT registered business.

If we need urgent delivery, we won't use PPP. If I use them, I always tell my customers the parcel will arrive in 3-4 working days. So I won't bite all my nails. :D
