Pharos is collected by UPS, you can add insurance if you wish it asks you when you are given a quote how much you require, yes they collect from your house just like taking a parcel to the PO.

Another quick question, I get the same price regardless of the weight I put?! I've also tried with the dimensions of a box, a baggage trolley and another big carrier bag, so different volumetric measures in total, but also get the same price? Is this correct? TIA

Have given ppwexpress a go, on the £4.95 deal. Have booked a collection for Monday, DHL have accepted the booking, will let you know how it all goes.

Hi - I've read through a lot of the posts here but not found what I need so forgive me if I've missed it. I want the cheapest rate (don't we all) and have generally found my local PO to be pretty good but would like to improve on their costs for bigger / heavier articles. I can't wait in all day for someone to come and collect so need a company with a local depot - interlink is not too far - anyone any other ideas please - Regards Roger

This is my first foray in to non-post office deliveries and I'm having a bit of a nightmare with finding a suitable next day delivery service.

Does anyone know if i can get a 6kg parcel collected today and delivered tomorrow? I seem to have missed all of the cut of points for collections today, and the post office will be £20.70.

If i do manage to rearrange for a friday delivery I would like to go with Direct Parcel Delivery for £6 as its the cheapest but reviews on here have been a bit inconsistent. Are they being reliable to collect and deliver on time at the moment do you think?

    Thanks for your help.

You could use Paypal Postage & Select Parcelforce24 which will cost you £11.99 & drop the item off at your Local Main Post Office (Sub PO's don't like them, as their space is limited) before the PF collection time & make sure your item gets scanned onto the system & they give you a receipt showing the PF Tracking Number

Currently Pre Paid Parcels (http://www.ppwexpress.com) are the cheapest with DHL48 for £4.95 which we've noticed all our parcels getting delivered the Next Working Day

Just a quick update on Pre Paid Parcels (http://www.ppwexpress.com) on the £4.95 48 hour delivery. DHL were supposed to collect the parcel the next day between 1pm-5pm. They actually came at 9am on the day, so not sure what went wrong there, but someone's always in, so this wasn't a problem. The parcel was delivered the next day, so excellent service all for £4.95 :)
