Just a quick update on Pre Paid Parcels (http://www.ppwexpress.com) on the £4.95 48 hour delivery. DHL were supposed to collect the parcel the next day between 1pm-5pm. They actually came at 9am on the day, so not sure what went wrong there, but someone's always in, so this wasn't a problem. The parcel was delivered the next day, so excellent service all for £4.95 :)

Let's hope they don't go the same way as all the others...

Nothing to do with PPW, as the bookings just get placed directly on DHL's system & given to out the drivers.

Maybe the DHL driver had been in the area making a delivery on the morning & was using his initiative rather than visiting the same area twice in one day.

I think I could use a bit of guidance here.

I have been buying and selling stuff on ebay for a long time now, and have been on MSE for a long time, but have never noticed this thread.

Possibly, I am being dense this morning. How do I go about using these services, say if I have sold a 'wii fit' for example.

Basically, you book for one parcel to be collected through any of the couriers mentioned. They will come and pick it up from you on a specified day (mon-fri) between 9-6 (usually).
You need to wrap/box the item up, and stick the delivery address on and the senders address incase it needs to be returned.

I would recommend Direct Parcel Delivery who use parcelforce, but lots of people are using the cheaper option, using DHL, which is from PPW, and the service is just as good (i use DPD as i prefer parcelforce)

    Hope that helps!!

Ok. Dont like knocking someone but having recommended MH Direct Couriers a couple of months ago I feel I need to retract it.

They suddenly started charging VAT, no warning and indeed I missed the extra charge on the 1st day as it isnt mentioned until just before making payment.

Secondly, I had 2 days with no collections. Hell of a job trying to contact them and finally no apology...they just blamed DHL.

Thirdly and most importantly their claims handling is terrible. I put in 2 claims, one is now 4 months old and whilst they say DHL have settled it with them I still havnt received the money. Also, the claim form only asked for the value of the lost goods. When I queried how I would be refunded the original courier cost I incurred they said as I hadnt put it on the claim form they would not refund me.

Ive switched now and have gone back to P4D. What a difference. Same price now as MH Direct, later cut off and no missed collections. Email responses to queries only take 15 mins or so.

Seems like another Payperdrop in the making here. Got too big for themselves so dont care about customer service.

So HARRYJONES MH Couriers are telling you about customers which you have nothing to do with ?

Seems like they are breaking the data protection act, maybe this needs reporting to the relavant authourity ?

I think infact you work for them

Sorry we dont work for them, i just highly recommend them and hate when people says things, which makes it look like it is a one sided story.

I think we should support these companies which do try they very best in what they do.

This isn't nothing to do with the data protection act, has it is only an emails and nothing to do with personal infomation.

please, you dont have anything to do with them but registered and did that epic as a 1st post?
they just forward emails to any customer they see fit?
these 'companies' in the large are just using an account not set up to handle the volume they put through the courier company
you post is there for anyone to see so its up to potential buyers as to how much weight they put in its unbiased opinion

I have reported this thread, has i found it offensive that you would compare my me and my name with a person who is on death row, for protecting a company which i use very day od week for my deliveries, clearly you with be attacked for giving good comments about a company.

lol i stand by my opinion
and as i said, people can make their own judgement of your post
personally whether you are good intentioned or working for the company, imo you have done far more damage for the company than any negative posts on this thread could ever have done
