Well my experience of PPWexpress so far is not good. I stayed in from 11.30am last Friday and DHL never came and when I looked at the status it said at 1pm - refused nothing to pick up - they had never been near our house. I left messages all weekend and finally got an e-mail this morning , meanwhile my husband had spoken and arranged for them to pick it up from where he was working today - yes same again not been and status says 11am refused nothing to pick up. I know that DHL are responsible for the pick ups but not good enough. We are going to have to actually go to a DHL depot now and drop it off, hardly the service paid for is it ?

    Few things:

    1) to get round the 'unable to go to stage 2' problem; try and make the booking as normal, then when the error message comes up, go to 'my ppp', scroll down to the bottom and 'pending consignments', click 'book now' for the relevant consignment and it will work from there.

    2) people moaning that their parcel wasn't collected on bank holiday Monday...ok you shouldn't of been able to book it for that day, but really are you totally devoid of common sense; why would couriers be any different from anyone else??

    3) louise3324, you say stayed in from 11.30AM but they can come and collect at anytime. The time of collection option on the booking form is not guarantied, imagine if the driver passes through one place in the morning, but doesn't go near there for the rest of the day, do you really expect him to wait around just for you, couriering is pretty cut and thrust and people seem to expect magic and the best bit is they're only sending 1 parcel!

    4) payperdrop issue; I at first wondered if they were payperdrop reformed: similar pricing structure, notifications and 'Lisa'. But despite initial reservations (more on principle than anything) I've now booked 100 parcels with them and no problem and much unlike payperdrop I've had them phone us on quite a few occasions often just a courtesy call. You can tell by the order numbers in ‘my PPP’ they are taking around 500 bookings a day.

    5) people who moan about these 'booking agents'; do you not realise that once they book the parcel with the courier it’s out of their hands, if the parcel doesn't get delivered on time etc. its not their fault.

    6) if you want the perfect service book direct through the couriers website, otherwise quit moaning and just be grateful you can send parcels as cheap as you can with the likes of PPP!

One thing for sure its not a business I would like to be in!

For some reason PPWeXpress.com's Booking Form doesn't like Firefox & we have to use IE

    Yes same with us.

Though Steve & jacksons mum's problem it isn't a browser related.

PS: PPP's booking cut off is now 11AM and apparently will soon be midday.
  • Did anyone have any experience for payper parcel company. I have booked an item to collect and deliver. Lets see how they are.

Let me know any good or bad experiences.

Can anyone recommend couriers for oversize and over weight parcels? (not necessarily the same parcel)
Got some large and some heavy (over 30kg, under 50kg) items am looking at getting sent.
    Thanks!

I was very impressed by Pay Per Parcel. Mainly due to the fact that they say they have their own software that automatically makes the booking with the courier rather than someone doing it manually. This means you can see the status of your booking on their website unlike most of the other companies who you just have to trust to do the booking for you.
I'd use them all the time if the prices lower.

I used pay per parcel for the first time Tuesday after reading the article on here. I had a 5Kg parcel to send and it cost me about £7.50 after VAT was added. DHL came to pick it up yesterday and according to the tracking thing on the DHL website it's been delivered so I'm well pleased.
