Payperdrop/Work4 Ltd (In Liquidation) where based in Manchester.

PrePaid Parcels Worldwide Ltd are based in Nottingham & registered at
    Unit 4
    Sandstone Court
    NOTTINGHAM
    NG6 8NN
    0115 976 2020

So I don't really see how they connected & most likely using the same systems as all the other courier resellers
  • Used parcel2go on Monday with no problems. Used the 48 hour service but it arrived in 24. I liked the ability to track it.

Just received this message from balloonandgift at 23:52 16.4.08 on a delivery due to be picked up on 18.4.08:

    "Apologies
Ebay and Parcelforce have stopped my account as they did not like me selling them on ebay, now i am unable to complete bookings
You will need to rebook these with alternate carrier and i will refund any monies due asap
Once again my apologies for this and my many thanks for your custom and support"

if you can package it well then as long as it's within the dimensions (~150cm x 60cm x 60cm) and weight limits (~31kg) then I don't see why it should be any different than any other parcel, other than if it's fragile or not. and you can't do much about that bit anyway, other than use a respectable courier company, and i've heard horror stories about most of them so...

Thanks to Searcher2, Mantraman and Ben... best add "and anyone else that knows me" in case i missed anyone. Booked a parcel with directparceldelivery last night, got receipt and aknowledgement emails pretty much straight away, email with tracking number about dinner timeish, and within minuites of that Parcel Force van arrived to collect parcel.
    So would definitley use again.

Angel Shopper, I think they would be ok for your half a mannequin ( not like them in that Xmas Dr Who is it? :oS ) long as parcel size is under
    150cm x 60cm x60cm.

And its def gonna be under 30 kilos so would cost you £6 ( i would add a bit on that in listing tho to go towards ink and tape etc) unless theres an exception I am missing
Nope.... Still cant think of owt interesting to put here.
  • no its not like the 1 in dr.who!id be a bit scared if i had that in the house!lol
    thanks for the help

    I've just used PayPerParcel today.

DHL came collected fine, hopefully the package will be delivered tomorrow.

My only gripe is that I think the original MSE article doesn't mention that the price they list EXCLUDES VAT. The site mentions it in one of their banner ads on their site for the lowest price delivery at £5something, so I assumed the MSE listed price of £6.something was this price inclusive of VAT.

Especially as PPP don't state next to their prices on their quotations page that the costs are Ex VAT. They do state in the small print further down though, but it's not obvious enough for me.

I just thought that as a consumer facing site, MSE should list the price INCLUSIVE of VAT, as most of us can't reclaim it so using the ex vat price isn't as relevant. Just to help those of us who aren't so sharp-eyed :D

perhaps it was an oversight rather than an attempt to deceive?

I would very happily recommend Direct Parcel Delivery.
Out of all the courier services i have used (since the time Selective/PPD were around) this is the best service i have found! They run it very professionly, which is very important in my opinion, and its with parcelforce who i much prefer over DHL after bad experiances with DHL, and thats put me off using them unless I have too. With parcelforce, its always the same driver, who is very friendly and comes around the same time everyday!
