Pharos International are definitely not the cheapest for international anymore, make sure you shop around. They were about twice the cost of Parcels2Go for my shipment to the Czech Republic.

Great thread. I was looking for an alternative as Parcel2Go prices have crept up and the item I am sending is worth £150 - which is not covered by Parcel2Go standard service without paying a supplement.

Having trawled through this thread I have come down to Balloonandgift via ebay (£6.95 next day) and Direct Parcel Delivery via www.directparceldelivery.com (previously Direct Sales Europe £6 next day delivery)....the latter being attractive from a price point of view and you can book the collection up to 10am the same day.

I just tried to email Direct Parcel Delivery via their site to point out a couple of improvements they could make to their website (like on the order form it says that your have paid by PayPal when they don't even take PayPal) and when I submitted it it said

    "The has been a problem
Sorry, this email address does not appear to exist or is invalid. Your email has not been sent."

So it looks like it's going to be 'balloonandgift' as there does not seem to be a way of communicating with Direct Parcel Delivery.

Any other advice welcome... will be booking tomorrow night.

Hi guys, I was just about to use Interlink at about double what some of the companies listed here will charge & I would have to drive 15 miles to their depot !
I was going to use Send-it-now, any comments or experiences of them ?
    Many thanks.

where have ballonandgift's parcel listings gone? should i expect them back soon or is that it?

edit: just had a reply to an email i sent b&g, and in short it looks like they've come up against the same problems every other ex cheapo ebay delivery sellers have, although they hope to be back by tomorrow. but pay per parcel it is for me for now then.

Hope balloon and gift are back soon, only used a couple of times so far, and was just going to again tonight. Will see if they are back on tomorow, otherwise guess will either have to use the post office again, or read back through all this thread and see if theres anyone else, would be a tough act to follow though, was really impressed, so heres hoping they can get it sorted.
Nope.... Still cant think of owt interesting to put here.

Ahhh. just as I was about to order too with Balloonand gift. Having made comments about the http://www.directparceldelivery.com/ site yesterday they seem to have tidied up the site and changed to order process to be more logical. They have changed the payment method yet again... yesterday it was Google pay only. Now it it Nochex only.

May give them a go for tomorrow collection.

Hi i,ve used these quite a few times and they provide a great service.

It seems that Balloon and Gift are not able to offer there Parcelforce courier service anymore (just had email and refund from them).

But i have just found another courier, they have there own website.

They offer a range of services

    24 Hour £5.95/48 Hour £4.95/Highlands £8.15

What gr8 prices and you can use Paypal.

    Worth having a look at

    http://www.ppwexpress.com/

I have just booked a Highland Parcel upto 30kg £8.15 inclusive
