Thanks - 2 new DD's it is then.k_man said:The DDs need to stay active (or whatever TSB define as active) until at least the 18th Nov to get the cashback. Possibly until 18th Dec, when first cashback is due.
Sometimes when you move a DD, the old one stays listed, but sometimes it doesn't
The DDs need to stay until May if you are going for the second £55 cashback.0 -
My understanding is that the DDs does not need to be the same with the one which has been switched. The one that were switched will only need to stay until the 18th Nov. 2022 (e,g incentive payment). This could be replaced by a new 2 DD.k_man said:The DDs need to stay active (or whatever TSB define as active) until at least the 18th Nov to get the cashback. Also do not forget item 3. One payment using DC.
There is not minimum DC payment, also it does not say that the card need to be presented. So if you buy £1 item from ebay, as long as you are using 16 digit number of your DC it will meet this requirement.
Is there any other interpretation ??
By 18 November 2022 you must do all of the following:2.complete a full switch to your new TSB Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account using the Current Account Switch Service a full switch means you need to transfer all active credits and debits from your old account and close it. This must include a minimum of two active Direct Debits3. make a minimum of one payment using the debit card on your new Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account4. log into Internet Banking or the TSB Mobile Banking App at least once5. have a minimum of 2 active Direct Debits on your new Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus accountIf you’ve done all these things we’ll pay £125 cashback into your new Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account by 16 December 2022.0 -

The DDs need to stay until May if you are going for the second £55 cashback.Yes, you just need to maintain 2 DDs. However, it would be risky to allow the number of active DD to fall below 2 during the qualifying period.
Any debit card transaction should qualify. Chip & PIN, contactless, online transaction. There are lots of options, e.g. most energy suppliers allow a one-off debit card top up, there's the Amazon gift card account if you don't have anything you want to buy right now.adindas said:Also do not forget item 3. With TSB doesn't seem so. With Metro bank you can resume your application for 15 days.sheffieldeagle said:Hi
Does anyone know if there's an option to continue an application with TSB. Mine crashed as I applied for the overdraft. Do I just start again?
Cheers
I guess TSB wouldn't be able to provide that feature here because of the affiliate tracking. Looks like account opening has to be done in one session from start to finish for the bonus to track:You must make sure cookies are enabled before you click through to tsb.co.uk, start your application, and right through until we tell you whether your application is successful.

This TSB switching is quite unusual, there is no trace/way you will know about the progress of your cashback incentive.Other banks will normally keep you inform whether you qualify or not.It seems TSB still suffer from their IT. Not to mention painful way for application, suddenly crash, etc. When there is another switching incentive, I now know which account to switch.0

It's not unusual when taking up an incentive like this for a bank not to let you know whether you've qualified until the point they pay the incentive. We haven't even reached the deadline for meeting the qualifying criteria in this offer. Remember that you need to do more than just switch an account to qualify. The first criterion was to apply through the referral link on the MSE or Moneysupermarket website (not the one at the start of this thread). If you didn't do that, then you may not hear anything from TSB about this offer, just as anyone else who opened a new account at this time by coincidence won't be told anything about it.0

I'm now getting an email to confirm my ID in relation to what I assume to be the first attempt. Been using my new account (2nd attempt) for a while now. I'm getting a hint of paranoia now thinking this could be related to my open account. Surely this can't be the case can it?OceanSound said:

I had a read through, and the Original Poster (OP) and her husband had received letter requesting ID 23 and 35 years after account opening, respectively!! So, from what I gather ID can be requested at any point down the line (be it the day of opening the account for 35 years after).
Some posters say TSB send a reminder. If you don't wanna take the risk by waiting for the reminder and think the ID request is about the second (and successful) attempt then take your ID and visit a branch. If you use the mobile banking App then you can use that to upload ID. The thread above has screenshots. I checked it on my mobile and it is available.
You can also do it via website (may still need the use of a smartphone also though!):

Spoke to TSB this morning and the request for ID is for the first account opening attempt as I hoped.
