TSB £180 switch offer

So, just checking that, having completed the switch, everything is tickety boo and my plum DD has been cancelled, leaving just the one. Apprently you have to re-link your main account in your plum app. Even though the DD goes across it gets canx upon first payment. I suspect it wont be set up again in time for the 18th

That's a risk, given they'll be checking for 2 active DD. Have you checked the old DD is actually removed from the TSB side? In the past I had legacy Paypal DDs that stuck with my account for months and even switched to another bank despite being defunct. If a new DD mandate was sent for processing today, it might show as active on 18th. It takes a BACS clearing cycle to set up.

Yes, it is a risk. Its actually been cancelled. I have re done but whether its in time is another matter. I guess I have a chance even if not. I can prove that I had 2 at time of switch and the T&C's do say "by" 18/11 not "on" 18/11.

Well, I have checked and the DD has not been re-instated. Also, I seem to have used my debit card 3 times and my OH once - oh dear I wonder if I make one today it will count. I will let you all know

Only one debit card payment is required to qualify for the initial cashback.

I wonder how quickly the cash will start appearing now the deadline has passed.  I know they have a while yet but think the might pay out sooner.

One has to imagine the checks will be mostly automated, handled by the exceptional IT system of Banco Sabadell. What could possibly go wrong?

16th of December is the latest the 'big day' should happen.
