  • Yes, I see that the pay date is BY 16 Dec.  They ate essentially giving themselves a month to make sure everyone has been checked and got their cash.  However, as most of it will be automated, I’d imagine some people might get their payout soon and they won’t make all the payouts on 16 Dec.  Often these things payout as soon as they are able to, simply to get it sorted and done with.

If anyone spots the money has appeared, please do say.  Mine only completed last week, so I wouldn’t expect to be in a first tranche, but who knows exactly how it’s all processed. Thanks.

NatWest and RBS paid out a few days ago. About 2 weeks before the 'deadline'.

That's not to say TSB will follow suit.

I wonder if anyone have any problem with switching DD by TSB?.
I switched my account about 10 days ago, two DD (tesco credic card and virgin mobile). I got the letter about sucesfull switch from TSB but dates of DD were 01-01-0001 and amounts were blank. I checked my tesco/virgin accounts and tesco were updated with tsb details but virgin still has my old account (satander) data.
I called tsb team, they told my that from their end switch went ok and numbers on letter were incorrect becouse thats what virgin provided them.
I contacted virgin today (chat) and been constantly asked how i updated my dd details (over phone/online) he didnt get whole current account switch/automatic update idea.
At the end I updated my dd details on the form provided by virgin.
My wife switch her account as well (from natwest) - two DD, O2 and united utilities about the same time but i still see on UU account old details for DD (natwest). On her switch letter details about O2 are ok but not for UU.
No DD has been taken from TSB accounts yest as it should happen within next two weeks.
Maybe I am paranoid but I see here potential problems with switch offer;).
Only potential source of the problems I see in the fact that DD were moved to Satander/natwest only about month ago (but one payment was taken from each one after moving them to make them look active).

It's not really clear what problem you think you have, but if you manually request an update of the paying bank for a DD with the originator, then that often does prevent the next payment being taken if it falls within the next 8 working days or so. You are normally advised to pay by other means if updating details close to the collection date. By making a further change to the DD after the switch, you've effectively invalidated the CASS guarantee for any subsequent collections, as the DD that was set up by the switch is no longer valid. Presumably "yest" means yesterday, so are you saying there was a failed collection yesterday, or you are just expecting one within the next two weeks that hasn't happened yet?

I think yest in this context means- yet
this is how I read the phrase:

No DD has been taken from TSB accounts yet, as it should happen within the next 2 weeks

Well, I think OP is just seeing problems where they might not exist
You need to get past the date when the DDs are due to be paid.....and see what happens

  • So if you both right I probably screw up my (and my wife) bonuses yesterday and today.
I switched accound details from satander to tsb by form yesterday (i think date stayed the same) and today I contacted UU about wife's DD. Person on the phone confirmed that it still has natwest acc number and as I couldn't do it online (too close - payment on 1 dec) he cancelled old DD and set up new one (with tsb details) to be paid on 8 dec.
I didn't like idea of refused DD hence i paniced a bit , maybe too much but it seems to be a bit of incosistency in the whole DD switch process (details updated on tesco cc, but wrong in the letter, all wrong for uu and virgin, good for o2).
I did a few switches in the past but i don't remember having so many problems, thats why I asked other people what they see on their switch details.
Probably now I have to wait till 16 dec and see if we receive bonuses and if not try to argue with tsb. Considering that the bonus was based on click on referal link they might refused it anyway as "not recorder" (it happend with wife hsbc switch in the past, it was through referal link, all switched ok but hsbc did not recored link/blamed cookies and refused to pay bonus)

NatWest and RBS paid out a few days ago. About 2 weeks before the 'deadline'.

That's not to say TSB will follow suit.
I have not had my pay out yet. Am I the only one?

Which condition of the offer are you concerned about not fulfilling?
