When you started your switch did it allow you to pick a specific switching date?binaryuniverse said:Got my activation code, today, and finished setting up my online stuff, plus got the switch moving.
I fully expect the bonus to not get paid, and I have to chase TSB for it. Because it's TSB.
Yes, it did for me.

How long does it typically take for a new online account to merge in to an existing one? I activated on Saturday but the merge hasn't yet occurred for me.

I’m speaking from years of experience. It’s completely hit and miss whether they amalgamate my accounts or not but I had many profiles due to tsb insistence on always opening a new account with a new log in instead of like other banks just adding it in like Santander do in minutes. Mine hasn’t been done yet after 13 days. I can log in on my new account separately to the others.janeskips2 said:
Have you had it merge before with TSB or are you speaking generally? Have you logged into online banking with the new account?Yorkshire_Pud said:
Mines not merged after12 days. Sometimes they merge within days sometimes it doesn’t work at all unless you phone them and they send an email to back office! All hit and miss.janeskips2 said:Is "up to 9 days" an accurate duration for this new account to merge with existing? Although I was logged in the link reset that so I had to create a new online account despite being a TSB customer. I spoked with CS and he said up to 9 days, it's already been 7. How long did yours take to merge?
Havent got my PIN yet either.1 -
Hi I have read the whole thread and just wanted clarification please.......
When applying to switch to the TSB account you need an activation code...is this code sent out by POST ?
I've checked email, & texts and still can't get hold of my code

Yes it is. However, I apparently entered an incorrect password when trying to use my activation code to finish registration, and got locked out. I spoke to CS to sort it out (online was a combination of telling me to re-register and also that I couldn’t re-register as it was already registered), and CS deactivated the online banking so I could start again.sparkiemalarkie said:Hi I have read the whole thread and just wanted clarification please.......

when registering for a second time, it gave me the option to receive a code to mobile instead of the post, so I was up and running online within 10 minutes of CS deactivating my online banking.0 -
Apologies if this has already been answered.
With my current bank I have a couple of accounts I wish to keep and a new one that I opened a few days ago that I'm going to use to start the process. My question is if I transfer from my 'new' current account to Nationwide for their signup offer - as soon as I receive the cashback and my 'new' current account is closed can I then close the Nationwide account and transfer to TSB to receive their cashback offer and so on and so forth until I complete all of the offers - or do these accounts that I'm switching to have to be open for some time?
Thanks in advance1 -
If the switching to account doesn't say (in the terms and conditions) that it needs to be open for X days/weeks/months or until a certain date, you can use that account as a donor account soon as you receive your bonus.73blueeyes said:Apologies if this has already been answered.

Btw, I believe you mean 'use the nationwide account as a donor account to switch to tsb', not 'close the nationwide account and transfer to TSB ...'. it's important that you don't close it manually. The closing needs to be done as part of the 'full' switch process (not 'part' switch) and initiated by tsb.1 -
Amazing thanks for the reply :-)OceanSound said:
