Which online form are people using to start the switch process.
The Adobe sign one after logging into the account, or this one https://www.tsb.co.uk/current-accounts/switcher-form/ which showed on the page after the account opening process was complete?

That’s the one I used following their advice when I called them.

Card, PIN and activation code received today, a week after applying. But, of course, because it's TSB, the activation code doesn't work. Hopefully I can forget about that and get the account added to my previous UserID (no merge has happened to date). I had no accounts left at TSB, so it didn't bother me which I used going forward. I suppose this way it saves me setting up memorable info on the new UserID.
Complaint raised about the shoddy experience so far.
  • For the ongoing £5 a month cashback for 6 months, can I top up my PayPal account via the debit card for 1p 30 times (once per day). I rarely use PayPal so not sure.

I don't think you can top up your Paypal account via debit card.

I noticed on my Quidco account (Premium member) they are offering £132 cashback for this TSB account.  I am tempted to apply for it.

go for it if you are not an existing member and never had TSB account.  Also it night take a while to get the cashback.
  • My account has been open for a few days now. Online account has been set up. Have my card and pin. All good to go... or so I thought.
Just tried to pay in a fiver. Details matched. Hit confirm:

"Sorry. The payee's bank has advised that they are unable to accept the payment."

I have never had that with a new account before. Good to see TSB are still a farce.
Did you try paying in to tsb account using another bank (in addition to the one you tried)?
    I certainly did. Same result.
