For anyone who has completed the switch or it is still processing, when were you able to register for internet banking?
Do they also send a code to use when setting up to use the app.?
Switch started and account details(number and sort code) received last Monday.
I received my debit card PIN this morning. Nothing else yet except text messages confirming switch date (20th).
Possibly they are quite busy with new accounts opening!

Did you not receive your 10 digit customer number by text/email?
You need this to register for online banking.

you can also retrieve your customer number if you have a card reader (one from any bank should work)

Hi. My switch is due for 20th. I have rcd my card PIN & customer number. I'm not able to register for internet banking at the moment. Says it's checking some things ? Will hopefully do so before the 20th 😀

My switch completed yesterday and the £200 bonus was in my account this afternoon. Very pleased!
  • Thanks both, Aidan and Suzy.
Yes, I have my customer number. I do receive the same message as Suzy when trying to register.
Not received Debit Card yet, nor reader. I do have a couple lying around in a drawer somewhere.
I'm sure it will all come to fruition eventually. Probably being too impatient!

My wife opened an account and started a switch on the 11th. Her PIN arrived on Thursday 13th and her card arrived on Saturday 15th. She downloaded the app using the link in the email and was able to set it up using a spare card reader and the PIN over the weekend. She did a token transfer in from another account, and all was well. Card reader arrived today.

She hasn't received a customer number yet....

Hi.  How long after the switch happened, until the incentive was paid?

My switch took place yesterday (Monday 17th). Was paid into my account mid afternoon today (Tuesday 18th).

  • I have switched previously with two of my accounts .
I have been with Natwest which I switched into in December 2020. This is my main account that my salary is paid into.
I have another bank account with First Direct which I switched into in December 2021. This has a small amount of savings in it
I have gotten myself a bit confused where it mentions the following exclusions:

    • You won't qualify for this offer if you’ve previously benefitted from this offer or any previous current account online switch offer since 18 August 2021, as set out in clause 4.

Would I be entitled to the incentive if I switch my Natwest account over as this was last done in Dec 20? Or does it look at me having an incentive in Dec 21 for my First Direct account therefore ruling me out?
I am fairly certain I would be entitled to switch just switching my Natwest account but just want to be sure.

The exclusion relates to the current or previous Nationwide switch offers. From what you say, neither your Natwest or First Direct switches involved switching into or receiving an incentive from Nationwide.
