whilst setting up the internet banking a week or so later I happened to notice in my text messages that I got an account just last year in September, and got the switch incentive, so I instantly felt disappointed and that I'd wasted my time switching this year as I wouldn't qualify...
and then just checked and somehow it turns out I did qualify and have £200 and i have it
So it would seem they aren't that strict on the t&c's

An almost trouble free switch.Applying using a "smart" phone certainly worked for my i.d.. Opposed to using a P.C. where it's probably not possible to submit pictures (e.g. Passport, Driving Licence, mugshot) Both images have to be identifiable as the same person.Using my phone was easy, required pictures taken using the camera and approved soon after submitting them.I think they send a letter re i.d. proof if pictures aren't possible? That option was given during the application as an alternative to pictures.0

Yes you can transfer your payments into the account to fulfil the pay ins by any method so long as it does not come from internally, so another Nationwide account held by you. AAB has misunderstood and is talking about the direct debits for the switch incentive.0

Never done a switch before & thinking I may have done it wrong.
Account I've switched from doesn't have any direct debits associated to it (I thought I'd be able to use Direct Debits from my main account).
My switch won't occur until 11th though (earliest I could select), so should I quickly move 2 Direct Debits to the account I'm switching from or can I add direct debits from a separate account and still qualify for the £200?0 -

- Better idea might be to cancel the switch, add two DDs to the account you want to switch, and once they show on that account, request the switch again.
Note I don't know whether there is still enough time to do this - check the offer terms. I just know that you won't qualify for the switch bonus if you don't switch 2 DDs. I also don't know whether it is possible to cancel the switch you have already requested.

Anyone know how long it takes to get paid out?
I've done switch over 1 week ago not got paid. I had their customer agent via chat confirm i am eligible and that it takes up to 10 days

My switch completed on the 21st, received S.M.S. that it had. Should have been 20th but there was a minor issue which NW sorted out.Received further S.M.S. on the 24th that I qualified for the £200. It was credited later the same day.0

I'm another who was convinced it was a long time since I had transferred another account into my Nationwide Flex Direct so foolishly applied for this offer without checking. However I quickly found on looking back at my statements I had transferred a Bank of Scotland account in on 23rd August last year (cut off date was 18th August!) and received the reward.
So I rushed to try to stop the application continuing and luckily managed to via the chat bot (spoke eventually to a human) and he was very helpful and cancelled it. He originally said I should be OK but when he checked back the dates and saw I was a week outside he cancelled it.1
