So it needs to be COMPLETED in October? The start date is irrelevant, it's the finish date that counts?

Where does it say that? There's nothing on the website about an end date, only this:

We may change, replace or withdraw this offer at any time. If we do this and you’ve already requested a switch, you’ll still be eligible for the offer so long as:
the switch completes within 60 days of you requesting it, and
you meet all of the requirements set out in these terms and conditions, and none of the exclusions apply.

I never said that it did say that though. The question mark I used meant I was asking, not telling.

Clearly then, I got the wrong end of Ballard's stick.

i have setup a switch to nationwide, the switch date was the 28th October and 2 days before i received a text asking me to contact them, i had actually had a new debit card from my account and they said they needed the last 5 digits of the long card number and he said the switch would still happen, well it didn't and i had to call again to ask why. they told me it got rejected because of the card changing, so i gave them the new card number again and was told it will switch on the 2nd November and now received a text to say the 8th November. not the easiest of switches for me. if i have anymore issues on the new switch date i will cancel the switch because its so much hassle.

I must've been lucky, as my switch went through on 20th October, as planned, with no issues.

    I received the £200 on the 21st.

First time I had ever switched accounts (used a recently opened donor account).

Have since switched another donor account to TSB, so hopefully I'll get the bonus with that as well.

On 12.10.22 I set up to switch from Starling to Nationwide to take effect from 27.10.22 which happened without any issues and then I received a text on 29.10.22 to say I qualified for the switch offer and that the £'s should land in my NW account within 24hrs but the £'s hit my account on 28.10.22 ~ no complaints from me

Don’t forget there are 3 other bank accounts, if you haven’t already done them, once your bonuses have cleared.
  • is this Nationwide £200 taxable, i.e. PSA eligible  ?

I arranged for my switch date to be as late as possible (in December) to ensure that my two or three new direct debits are set up properly in my original account (Lloyds). They are now indeed up and running.

So I'd like to bring my switch date forward from December to asap. Is this possible?

Got a text of them to day saying thanks for asking us.. we'll let you know after the switch whether you'll get the incentive.

Is it worth chancing a switch to them , even if you've had an incentive since 18 Aug 21?

An existing suitable current acc with 2 D/Ds doing nothing else?

Maybe , like some other banks, their checking systems aren't very robust?

    Also, in the full terms,
     4. This offer is only valid on the first sole current account and first joint current account you have switched to us since 18 August 2021, even if we withdraw this offer and launch it again in the future

    BUT it also says
    10. You also won’t qualify for this offer if:
. • You’re switching into a Nationwide account that has already been switched into and benefitted under this or any previous current account online switch offer since 18 August 2021

The last statement may imply that a switch into a NEW Nationwide acc may be OK

More in hope than in expectation I know, but this is what (some) MSErs do!

My switch completed on 31 Oct (to a new Nationwide account).
Received £200 incentive today (but no text from yet them confirming so)
And I'm pretty sure I did get an incentive since 18 Aug 21

Now hoping I get the TSB incentive in due course...
