Nationwide said same to me when my photo ID of my driving licence failed but in the end they did not request any further I.D. by going into a branch. Account was opened after approx. 10 days and switching fee paid following day .topgun06 said:Began the switch today.
Frustratingly I could not submit my ID online. The application form was insistent that I took a picture of it with my device. Well, I'm on a desktop without a camera, so no chance of that. There was no option to upload a photo so had to proceed without.
This has delayed my switch date and I have been given no further instructions as of yet for how to get my ID to them. I really hope I don't have to trapse to a branch.0 -
Despite the lack of ID just got an email to say my FlexDirect is open, probably helped that I’ve previously held an account with them0

I'm looking at starting a switch, any recommendations to make it successful?0

Just follow Nationwide's requirements, e.g. two active Direct Debits set up in the account being transferred, use the current account switching service etc..The £200 was credited to my NW account on Monday. An almost trouble free switch.

I have switched bank many times over the last few years, making more from their switching bribes than interest on my savings, and not had a problem at all. Just go for it, it’s painless and easy.stuarta99 said:I'm looking at starting a switch, any recommendations to make it successful?1 -
my switch happened last Friday - £200 in the bank account yesterday!0

I switched an account the nationwide as soon as saw the headline, thinking that I would qualify as I hadn't had an offer since "pre pandemic at least"
whilst setting up the internet banking a week or so later I happened to notice in my text messages that I got an account just last year in September, and got the switch incentive
, so I instantly felt disappointed and that I'd wasted my time switching this year as I wouldn't qualify...
and then just checked and somehow it turns out I did qualify and have £200 and i have it
So it would seem they aren't that strict on the t&c's

I am self employed and get my money paid into a business account then transfer into my current. To hit the target of pay ins can I bank transfer or does it have to be standing order??0

When did you make your last switch, I thought mine was a few years ago but looking through my records it was October of last year, can you remember which month you got your switch last year?fenwick458 said:I switched an account the nationwide as soon as saw the headline, thinking that I would qualify as I hadn't had an offer since "pre pandemic at least"
