It is always difficult to broach the finances subject with family.

I'm sure your sister will settle down once the novelty of the mortgage being paid off has faded.

",years if I could just stretch to affording it what kind of connections he would make."

Maybe he can go to a Taylor Swift concert. She might pick him out as future husband material.

Not been an easy week, son still really suffering with the allergies. He's not been well at all. Business is ticking over nicely again now at least. I am really finding it difficult to sleep so that is very welcome. The new treatment forcing me to do the things that I have been avoiding for quite some time now is exhausting but making sleeping difficult. Wound up back in contact with the pros most days but I’m not giving up. I really don't want to take medication alongside, I get why people do 100% but I just don't want to risk becoming dependent on any sort of drug ever again.

My son has been going on about motocross for a while and my wife has booked a family experience in the middle of !!!!!! nowhere. I initially told her she’ll have to find someone else to take but I’ve decided to make it a goal to get to it and actually participate, do have some fond memories !!!!!! about with bikes off road as a kid and I know my son will love it. Don’t want it to result in yet another thing I make my excuses about needing to work so I don’t have to face things that are now extremely challenging but I would have once really enjoyed.

I have finally managed to sell a number plate, only going to see £400 for it but I am so glad it no longer belongs to me. I bought it when I was at one of my peaks of addiction and spending. Little extra towards clearing the remaining card balance too.

@RelievedSheff yeah I hope so it’s not !!!!!! right me being the sensible one lol.

@woahsoah I can’t !!!!!! stand Taylor Swift. No idea what the hype is about with her. I’d love to be able to choose to have my son spend his last few school years at the best of the best, I know I have let them down if I allow myself to think about it, it !!!!!! fills me with guilt. That’s all I want for both my wife and son, for them to be happy and have the best of everything.

Had about 3 hours sleep last night- it’s no real wonder why I’ve little motivation really. Treading water in business has been on my mind a lot, I do see the potential benefit of just leaving things as they are, and having greater time for family etc. - just find it very difficult to commit to focusing on my health and family. It’s pressure I put myself under these days tbf. However I can’t get rid of the wanting to get to the next level although I know I’m not well enough to rn. Idk this school stuff has been on and off my mind, we also have a decision to make about one of the business leases on the cars. The Mercedes we’d like is very expensive and not so good value plus we don’t know whether the electric incentives will look less attractive if Labour get in. My wife thinks we should consider a Range Rover or Sport with the long hybrid range as well as the Mercedes option. I’m not sure I want another Range Rover, idk why - they are good cars, cheaper than the Mercedes we want but I’ve been there many times over and idk maybe I’ve started to see them how other people do, ha.

@Lonelygambler thank you mate, you’re right - seeing the positive is more difficult some times than others. Looks like you’re doing great, well done staying on the path too mate.

@RelievedSheff I hope so, getting out of town is one of the things that !!!!!! trips me off terribly. Tbf I have finally managed to work out why with this new pro and have a few weeks. Half motivated to sort my head out just to see the look on my wife’s face when she realises she’s covered in mud tbf. Currently she reckons it won’t be bad as it’s summer haha. She’s been !!!!!! warned lol.

My wife said to me this evening that if I get my head sorted out, the remaining card balance gone and just stop worrying about the future we could have a really nice lifestyle again. Not thought about spending money for a while but perhaps rather than putting the £400 from the number plate to the card balance letting my wife put it with the July £300 clothing allowance so she can add a pair of Louboutin’s to her little collection that she’s been looking at for a while might be nice for her. Idk wouldn’t even think about it a few years back, I would have bought them for her one weekend. These days though we are better off no doubt but it’s all being very strict about keeping to a budget.

It’s probably looking through rose tinted glasses at the past but it’s hard not to look at old photos and realise why people do ask on occasion if everything is ok nowadays. I have a photo up in my office it is actually a photo of my wife but it’s outside my old house at its best angle, what was pushing £300k of cars parked on the drive tbf I was at my worst addiction and spending wise but I sort of missed it all today or perhaps missed not being a !!!!!! anxiety ridden wreck, thought I was someone back then. Actually drove by my old house for the first time since moving tonight probably shouldn’t have and it was looking at that photo for probably idk 20 minutes that made me do it. Probably not helped by my wife suggesting maybe getting another Range Rover either idk. No doubt where we live now is a better location, in many ways the house itself is better for having been modernised but my old place had the sort of presence the seven figure places have in here.
