Glad to hear you are doing alright Alt and it really sounds as though your wife has stepped up to the mark for being given some financial responsibility.
Great work by you both.1 -
Maybe your wife wants to spend more time with you because she enjoys your company and can see how hard you’ve worked and how far you’ve come?Glad to hear things are moving in the right direction for you.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Had a really nice afternoon today, ready for a quiet weekend. Despite having a lot on with work, I'm sticking with the plan for finishing for lunch on Fridays. We’re going out for lunch on Sunday which we’ve not done in a while so looking forward to that. Things aren't perfect, far from it some days but overall I am putting my efforts into working on the things that I've been privileged enough to have learned from the pros. I know the majority don't have the opportunity to have access to good professional advice and continued support both professionally and from family.
@daisy_1571 wonderful news, congratulations!
@warby68 a few years back, for a very short time, she had this idea of making enough to pay for our son's school fees. Things were really bad debt wise and I was in a really bad way. It wasn't her time and it put her off. I've told her not to set expectations and just enjoy the journey. We don't need money and it's not like she doesn't know I will pay for her bike if need be.
I'm just so glad she's !!!!!! off consuming social media and seems for good since the Lapland chat.
@RelievedSheff thank you. I'm hoping she will keep with it but if she doesn't that's ok too.
@PollyWollyDoodle thank you. I know I'm not good enough for her but it means the world to me that I still have my family. When you lose yourself, the things money buys hold less importance.
@Lonelygambler thank you. It's brilliant to see you at 48 weeks free mate, you're a credit to your family.2 -

The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Really good weekend. Plenty of time with my family and also made time for the gym.Rn I think the effort on doing what the pros advise is really paying off. Ups and downs, of course but I am starting to wonder if there is a future for me that isn’t just wholly miserable and stuck in the past.Last push for February next week. Can’t really believe we’re nearly two months through the year and tbh still have only loose plans. That’ll be the push for March for the coming 3 quarters.9

A lovely positive post Alt. I don't comment much but have followed your progress. Keep up the effort and 2025 could really be the start of a new future for the Alt family. Wishing you lots of happiness.3

Maybe those professionals do know what they're doing after all 🤪
Lovely post to read. Glad things are seemingly more positive. I also think the change in sunlight helps too with mindset.
