Sorry I have not felt up to responding I will try to sometime over the next few days. I’ve not been in a good headspace.

I’m struggling to function and am really struggling to spend anything or let my wife do so. Even tiny amounts of money I work back how much my business has to turn to buy whatever and how much of that amount could be preserved if it wasn’t in my personal account. I really don’t want to waste money any longer even though I would like to give my family the world I know that it still wouldn’t be adequate compensation ha. End of this week I will be sending a payment to the card balance. It has been a cheap month because my wife has respected that I don’t want her to spend, even so, it makes me feel awful as I know she is unhappy about not buying anything for her holidays. Idk would be nice to unsee the !!!!!! lightbulb - we used to have a lot of fun spending.

Sorry your not in a good headspace, have you being able to get back to the gym like you said in a previous post? I can only comment on me but it really really helps my mental health as its all interlinked. If I go to the gym regular I straight away clean my diet up which helps my m/h, it gives me a break from my other half and the flat, it also helps me sleep better.

Then when me and my other half are together i dont feel we are on top of each other. Me and my other half both work from home so it can be hard.

Have you considered discussing with your o/h a budget re hols ie buy some clothes and bits but dont go daft.

I understand you want to debt free and to be clear but it takes time and you cant continually beat yourself up over it, that wont help your head space.

Try and think of it like this. How am i going to feel when i am debt free is beating myself up over it helping. I know from my own experience if i over and over beat myself up over something mentally its knackering. I tend to now take to the point of view: am i doing all i can to sort it yes/is worrying or stressing going to pay it off quicker nope.

Your a good person you want whats best for your family dont we all, you will get there.

sorry to hear you are struggling - just try and avoid doing too much and focus on the moments day to day and no trying to predict whats going to happen next.  Someone clever once said, predictions are difficult, especially about the future.
