£2.5-3K was probably the price you should have paid for a 15 year old Yaris, maybe £250 more for one in pristine condition.

I would say that a 15 year old diesel Yaris is on the verge of being classified as a "banger"

The £800 ones are probably knackered scrappers.
I went to.view one, it was so bad I think it would have broken down on the way home.

Sometimes the more expensive ones last longer. If I wanted I could keep this car for the next 15 years, rather than paying for some cheap old banger which will have to be replaced every couple of years therefore costing more in the long run.
It's already 15 years old are you seriously thinking it'll last 30 years? Aren't you planning on driving for Hermes?

There was a DanS1 who was banned from DigitalSpy's forum, but I'm sure that's just a coincidence...

driving for Hermes? No. If I was I'd have bought a van instead as the amount of parcels in my Yaris would block my view of the back window.

I'm thinking of putting the car on Gumtree.

Blimey some random threads there, particularly liked the "why does everyone else in the world have a different face" one!

How much did you sell your last 2007 Yaris for? You had the same problem with that car too.

So Hermes is a non starter then, nowhere to park a van and you couldn't parallel park one anyway.

But it is you though, I mean that DanS1 wants to work in an office and was taking an admin apprenticeship too.

How did the clubbing with your dad go, find yourself a nice lady?
