OR, have you bought a car, as in visited the dealer, paid a £100 deposit and due to pay the balance and collect in a few days?
OR, have you bought a car, as in online / remote phone purchase and due to pay balance and collect in a few days?
Exactly what "bought a car" means will depend on the opportunities to cancel that you have.My dad is taking me out tomorrow night clubbing, o on the hope of getting a girlfriend (or bird hunting, as he calls it). I'm a bit new to this as I've never had a girlfriend before and my dad is determined to change this for me. I don't even really want to go, but my dad says I've got to come out of my comfort zone, and at 27 it's about time I 'had a bird'.. What tips would you offer in terms of approaching a girl and chat up lines? I've never really been clubbing either so any tips there would be good.

I was kinda hoping one of them would offer to introduce me to their granddaughter or someone. Nightclubs are far too loud and boisterous for me. Toilets are filthy too. Can't even get a decent glass of lemonade in some of them. No, I had a good evening tonight. It wasn't exactly raving, but I did enjoy a good game of bingo.
Do the custard test with tomorrow's paper and all is good.0 -

Definitely diesel and cost £4k though. Is there a chance I've been ripped off?
Dealers always expect you to negotiate, and price accordingly. You seem to have bought on impulse. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Yaris's (Yari?) are tough little cars, but another 15 years? That would make it 30. The average age for scrapping cars here is 14 years.
But, at that age, the year is not so important. Condition is everything, which is why I mentioned the mileage and service record, MOT history?
Of course the dealer won't refund you (as in, full refund). But did you ask him to make you an offer to buy it back? If you can get £3.5k, you'll be doing well. Otherwise, sell it privately to cut your losses. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Dealers don't negotiate anymore, supply and demand along with internet buying have killed that off.
That's not to say dealers won't put something on the forecourt with an extortionate price in the hope that someone will buy it without doing any research first, though.

You do appreciate that people are going to be less willing to help you or take a charitable view towards you when you're repeatedly caught lying, right?I mean, no-one really cares what car you do or don't have, but have no interest in engaging serial liars because it's such a waste of time.0 -

I take your point, but at the 'banger' end of the market there is usually going to be some scope for haggling? This is a 15 year old car after all.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
